Chapter 44: A Decision And A Hard One At That.

After the first wave of the Grimm has retreated for the moment, a Huntsman was injured with his friend no more. The Corpse and his fellow friends sees the the very condition of the situation... The young Huntress forms a plan... One where their numbers shall split for now.

The doors to one of the Train carts opened before you and Yang walked in, seeing civilians gathered in fear, children being held close to their parents and the smell of fear reeks, and it could cause some problems, thanks to the Grimm.

Yang: Looks like everyone's safe...

(y/n): For now.

You replied, carefully walking past every individual in the cart before entering the other half of the Train cart, seeing Team RWBY and JNPR has huddled up as Oscar and Jaune were aiding a Huntsman. You walked up behind Weiss and asked.

(y/n): So... Who's putting that human out of it's misery?

Weiss' eyes widen before elbowing your side as you rolled your eyes and groan.

(y/n): It was a joke.

Weiss: (y/n)!

Yang: A little dark but alright.

Yang shrugged as you gently walked past Weiss and stood beside Summer and Qrow.

(y/n): You know... We should really do something about the passengers on the Train.

Summer: We were just discussing that, actually.

Qrow: I'm sure those kids will think of something. I rather hear their plan instead of yours.

Qrow said, looking at you as you grin in response.

(y/n): How unfortunate, I was suggesting we throw a few humans off board as bait for the Grimm.

Summer: Ugh, stop it! Both of you! Acting like children again!

Summer said, obviously annoyed how you and Qrow continued to be at each other's neck. Summer stood between you two before Ruby spoke up.

Ruby: Mom!

Summer turns her head towards Ruby, raised her eye brows and asked.

Summer: Sup mini-me?

Ruby: Oh wow, you really spent too much time with (y/n). Anyways! Do you know you're way around Argus?

Summer: Been around Remnant before having you, Ruby. Sure! Why'd you ask?

Ruby walks up to Summer before explaining the plan.

Ruby: Team JNPR will stay with the civilians till they reach Argus. We're gonna split the train and distract the Grimm so those people won't be in danger anymore.

Summer: And you wanna jump the gun and use your team and yourself as bait, huh?

Summer smiles and placed her hand on Ruby's shoulder and smiled.

Summer: I'm proud of you, my little baby girl. You've come so far.

(y/n): Holy sh*t, this is wholesome.

Qrow: Watch your-

???: I'm going with Summer and JNPR.

You turned your head, looking at Sachiko as she held a smile on her face as well as holding her small Scythe in hand.

Sachiko: I'll help them in case they need backup. I'm sure you can keep... Ruby and the others safe after all.

Qrow: Actually, I'M going to be the one keeping them safe from danger.

Qrow spoke up as Summer groans once more before turning towards him.

Summer: I am THIS close to strangling you to death, old man!

Summer shouted as you and the rest couldn't help but chuckle at this display. You felt a hand placed on your shoulder as well on Ruby's shoulder before looking and seeing Jaune with a small smile.

Jaune: Promise you guys will meet us at Argus.

Ruby: You bet Jaune.

(y/n): Nah, I'm heading home after this.

Nora: We know you're not, silly!

(y/n): F*ck.

The second the train leaves the tunnel, Team JNPR have gathered every civilians onto the next train cart before Blake snapped the cable, slowly separating the train into two... JNPR, Summer and Sachiko slowly disappear into the snowy fog as you, Qrow, Oscar and Team RWBY all gathered on top of the train.

(y/n): Ready to start trouble with the Grimm?

You said, patting Oscar's shoulders as he turned to you and gave a small smile and a nod.

Oscar: I'll try my best.

You nodded back before you began walking towards Ruby, who's on the line with JNPR on her scroll. You unsheathed your Chaos Fangs and stood beside her.

(y/n): Ready, Little One?

Ruby: Mm-Hmm!

She hummed with a smile and nodded her head. The sound of Grimm was heard before you and Ruby looked up and saw the griffin like Grimm began crawling out of the tunnel and fly towards you and the rest.

(y/n): Here they come.

Ruby: Now!

Ruby shouted towards her scroll, signaling JNPR before ending communications. You began running towards the back of the train before tossing both Chaos Fangs towards two Grimm and slicing them in half in the air before your scythe returns to your hand and quickly got into stance as the girls rushed and stood beside you, weapons in hand and ready to fight along side you as the Grimm were closing in.

(y/n): Oh how I enjoy tearing Grimm. It's becoming my favorite hobby here!

And before the fight began, everything fades to black as the title, "RWBY" appeared as the title is covered in blood and silence fills the air.
