Han Sonhee

"Sohee Noona," Chan called as soon as he saw me entering the mansion.

He rushed down the stairs and stood in front of me and suddenly gave me a tight hug, feeling a nostalgic feeling and warmth somehow taken aback from his action.

It's been a while since I saw Chan. I know he has had a stunning look since then but now that he is grown up, I was surprised how his physics has changed into manly one. He gained some muscles and his face looks more mature now.

"Oh my, it's been a while Chanie." I smiled and patted his back, which he later pulled away from the hug.

Me and Chan grew up with a good relationship as siblings. Even though his mother hated me, Chan treated me as if I was his older sister and same to me, I treated him as my brother.

"Also I told you just to say my name. No need to call me noona," I said.

Chan just smiled a bit. "And I told you you're older than me."

I just rolled my eyes at him and let out a sigh as I remembered I came here for someone. "How's father anyways? Where is he?"

He then suddenly looks uneasy and hesitant while scratching his nape. "That..."

"Han Sohee? You're here?" A familiar voice spoke out of nowhere with an irritating tone that made both of me and Chan sigh.

Chan moved aside to see if she was there and there she was. Standing not far from our spot with her arms crossed on her chest and eyeing me with a disgusting look.

Of course, I also gave her a dirty look and stared from head to toe. "You're not blind right? So yes I'm here." I said giving her the same energy.

Soyeon— Chan's mother, looked pissed and gave me a mocking smile instead.

"You shouldn't be back here." She said,

I heard Chan let out a loud sigh. "Mom, can you not?" He said, also sounding pissed. "Dad needs her. She is dad's daughter after all."

"But she ran away." Her mother fought back. "She has no right to be back. She's not welcome to my mansion."

I immediately let out a loud yet mocking laugh which made her pissed even more and stare at her coldly.

"Just to let you know, you don't own anything here. Without my father you're just a piece of trash." I spoke full of hatred and didn't regret spitting those words even if his son was beside me.

Soyeon was about to fight back but suddenly an old man appeared from another side of the mansion holding an old style crane as he walked towards us.

He looked at each one of us with a stern look but changed when he saw me. His face lit up seeing me and almost rushed to walk towards me. I was about to stop him but Chan went immediately beside him and helped him walk towards me.

"My only daughter, you're here!" Father said, beaming his wide smile. "I see your home, I'm glad you're back, my daughter."

Somehow, my bad mood went away and it turned into a concerning one.

Looking at my father, he does look different. He used to have weights on his body but it seems he lost some. His breathing is not normal as if he was catching his breath.

"You didn't tell me about your health. I told you to take care of yourself right?" I said, trying not to scold him. "If Chan didn't call me you were rushed to the hospital, I wouldn't know you suffered from a heart problem."

I heard Soyeon gasping and quickly went beside him with a frown.

"Yeobo, you were rushed to the hospital? Why didn't you tell me?!" Soyeon said with dismay and later looked at Chan.

"And why didn't you tell me your father went to hospital?! I could have taken care of him!" She scolded Chan in front of us.

Father let out a sigh then took her hand and rubbed it using its fingers. I suddenly want to vomit of how my father act sweetly out of nowhere.

"This is why I told Chan not to call you because I know you will be worried. I'm fine yeobo, I just need to lessen my work load." Father said, assuring the witch.

"And you my son," Father spoke and looked at Chan with dismay. "Why did you call your sister, now I'll receive a lot from scolding her." He sighs.

Chan just gave him a blank stare and shrugged his shoulders. "You won't listen to me. So I called her,"

I let out a snicker and gave him a stern look. "Of course, I'll give you a lot of scolding."

"Oh give your father a break. He's suffering and you still want to scold him. As if he wanted to get sick." Soyeon hissed at me.

My gaze quickly diverted at her with my eyebrows raised at her. The audacity of this woman.

"If you just took care of my father well, maybe he won't be rushed to hospital." I hissed back.

"Yah, yah! Stop fighting!" Dad spoke almost louder and leaned onto Chan. "Goodness, can't we have a reunion at peace? Gez."

"Anyways, why don't we go out to have dinner as a family? Yeah?" Dad said.

"Okay let's have dinner then. Let's go upstairs yeobo?" Soyeon agreed and smiled at him.

"You go first, I'll talk a bit with my daughter." He said.

Soyeon looked at me and let out a sigh, nodding her head. "Alright, I'll go first." She spoke and left us.

"I'll get dressed too," Chan said and leave me and my father alone.

As soon as they were gone, I let out a sigh and silently gave my father a hug. I heard him chuckles and patted my back gently.

"Aigoo, my daughter misses me." He said which I quickly pulled away and smiled.

"No I don't." I answered in a joking manner.

"Sure whatever floats your boat," he chuckles.

"And oh, since you're here, let's talk after dinner."

"About what?" I asked.

He just gave me a meaningful look and smiled slightly.

"You'll know after the dinner. For now, get dressed."
