I felt as if I where going to die. My heart was racing, and the cold air made my throat burn. My legs felt non-existent. "THAT'S RIGHT! GO LIVE YOUR FAIRYTALE DREAMS PRINCESS!" I heard Max mock and tease as I ran.

I hated him. I hated his voice, his face, his smile. He reminded me of a snake. I couldn't shake his laughter out of my mind. It rang as I ran. I didn't know where I was going. I didn't care where I was running. As long as I was away from that jerk, I didn't care. I didn't bother to stop when I came across a cave. Inside, it was dark and moist. I couldn't see anything or even where I was going. The sound of water echoed threw the cave. I should try to find the source. It might lead to the surface. I could go home, curl up in my bed with a cup of hot cocoa, and forget about that snake.

I took a step forward,  but instead of moving forward, I fell. I fell for a while, but the water sound got closer. The water bellow shined a bright cyan. It was cold, and the fall made it hard to enjoy the pleasant chill. I was submerged as my vision blacked out.

~Asgore POV~

"Asgore you can't be serious! They are just children!........THEY DON'T DESERVE THIS!" Toriel was right, but I must. My kingdom needs better than this. They need a better life. I came upon the lake I always wait. As I sat, I thought. Toriel, Asriel, ☝✌💧❄👈☀, my kingdom, the core..... At this point, we only need one more human soul to brake that barrier........ To end all of this..... And I will do what ever it takes.........

A loud splash brought me out of my thoughts. I felt my soul beat with excitement. The last soul was here. After 7 years of waiting, its finally here. I quickly search for the human. They didn't respond when I called. They washed up to the shoreline and into my reach. My eyes widened as I laid them on the small child. She was cut and bruised in numerous of places. It made me sick. I couldn't leave her like this. I couldn't take her soul when she was in this condition. I know Toriel won't like this, but........

~3 person POV~

Asgore took the child into his arms gently and set off to his castle.

"Dad, why did you bring the human home?" The small goat child sneered. He wouldn't take his eyes off of the child. She had long black hair and a striped sweater. It was a navy blue with white stripes. Asriel glared at the child in his fathers arms as he answered.

"This child was hurt when I found her. She will be staying for a while, so treat her as a guest." Asgore's voice was filled with compassion. "Asgore, why would you save one now?" Toriel asked with a slight egde. Her eyes wouldn't leave the child's face. Her soft white fur glistened in the light, but her eyes seemed to have a shadow over them.

Silence had filled the room along with the tension that could have been cut with a knife. Asriel finally broken the silence. "So where is she staying?" He smiled softly and nervously. Toriel relaxed and turned to Asriel. "Why don't you clean your room? We'll put her with you."

Asriel's eyes widened and his mouth dropped as he walked, rather quickly, to his room. He plopped on the floor and frowned with puffed cheeks. "Why do I have to be with the human?!"

~Child's POV~

I felt warm. I was laying on something soft and fuzzy. I opened my eyes to see I was in a room. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The blankets were fuzzy and thick. I looked around the room, and saw it was a child's room. A toy box at the foot of the bed, A wardrobe next to the bed, and many drawings were littered across the floor and walls.

I rolled out of the bed to be disappointed when my feet touched the floor. I wanted to curl back into the bed, but this isn't my home. I opened the door to be greeted with the smell of pie, and the sound of a child's voice. "Your awake?" The voice had a mix of annoyance, curiosity, and slight shock.

I flinched and whipped my head around to see a goat child. His eyes were a bright emerald green, his fur was a pure white, and his sweater was a pale green with pale yellow stripes. He was leaning on the wall with crossed arms. His eyes were wide with an innocent gleam to them.

I slowly nod my head in shock. A talking goat. I may have loved fairytales, but to see something like this in real life was a bit overwhelming. "My mom made pie. She told me to come and get you. Do you want a piece?" The child grumbled. I nodded again, and followed the child. "What is your name?" The child glanced my way and quickly watched where he was going again. "My name is Vex." It became silent for a moment until the goat spoke again. "I'm Asriel." I nodded and smiled. We got to the kitchen rather quickly. Two more goats were sitting at the table talking about a kingdom and souls, two things I knew nothing about. I jumped at Asriel's voice.

"Mom, Dad, she's awake." The goat that might have been the mom, wore a long purple robe with designs that made no sense to me. It looked like some creature with wings, but the creature was just shapes. She wore a beautiful purple cape with white fluff on the edges that draped to the floor. She possessed a soft, loving voice as she spoke.

"Why don't you have some pie my child? It butterscotch cinnamon." She cut two pieces and set them in front of two chairs next to her. Asriel and I sat and began to eat. The pie was delicious. It made my mouth water and tingle as I shoved another forkful in my mouth.

~A few years later

I don't understand why I can't leave the castle. I live here and I can't even see what the rest of the world looks like. 'Its too dangerous,' Mother would say. 'Monsters don't take kindly to humans, daughter,' Father would reply.

Today was the day. Mother would be gardening for hours. Father would be listening to monsters with complaints, and Asriel- "Vex, what are you doing out by the wall?" I turned to see a sly grin plastered on his face. "With a hood-" I grinned nervously. "In the middle of the day-" I was sweating bullets as he walked up to me. "With a rope..." He held the rope up into my view.

"Playing bad guys?" I replied, but it sounded more like a question. He raised his eyebrow and hummed in disbelief. "I'm coming with you." He stated as plain as day with his bright, soft, innocent smile. "Wait what?!" He threw the rope over the wall, and we both climbed.
