3 Person POV~

"DON'T YOU DARE ASGORE!" Toriel's voice was filled with anger, sadness, and desperation. Tears threatened to fall in fat drops. Vex had explained her plan to her father and mother. Asriel was next tor Toriel sobbing with anger, dread, and helplessness. His sister was going to die and his father had agreed. Vex had been with them for six years, and Asgore accepted the offer. Vex frowned with furrowed brows. This wasn't exactly what she had expected. She didn't think her father would agree so easily.

A shouting came from the hall beyond the thrown doors. The door burst open to reveal the children's friends. Undyne was ordering the rest of the Royal Guard to leave. Mettaton and Alphys stood next her waiting. Sans and Papyrus couldn't wait. They rushed in while the king and queen had a screaming match. Everyone was shouting, begging, crying, and overwhelmed. Vex had had enough. She screamed and everyone's attention that made the growing headaches worse. Everyone went deathly silent and stared at her intently. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves.

"I know this isn't what anyone wants, but I want this..." She lowered her head and brought her hands up to her chest. A bright orange heart hovered in the humans hands. She smiled sadly and took in the sight of her friends one last time. Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, and Toriel ran up and hugged her. Sans stood back with void filled eye sockets. This was the first time anyone had seen him with a frown.

Asriel had covered his mouth to keep his sobs to himself. Vex smiled and went to comfort him. "I'll see you again. Please don't cry..." He broke down and tackled his sister. His wails echoed through the throne room. Sans had finally moved from his spot. Asriel went to Toriel and buried his face in her dress. "So I guess this is it... You... Your really giving up your soul... Heh."

Sans grabbed Vex's arm and pulled her into a hug. She hugged back gently and rested her head on his shoulder. Vex seemed awfully calm about everything when really, she was terrified. What would become of everything? What was death like? Was it painful? Would this even work?! What if she started all of this only to find out you can't just willingly give up your soul? She would have put everyone into a frenzy for nothing!

NO! This had to work. Vex let go of Sans and focused on his face. Her soul lit up his skull, and made his skull and orange hue. His tears stained his cheekbones. Vex reached to brush them away. "Don't give up hope Sans. I'm not the only friend you have." She whispered for only him to hear. His tears came quicker and gathered at his chin, only to fall to the buttercup covered floor. The sun shown brightly onto the small yellow yellow flowers. Sans' tears made the sunlight reflect slightly.

Vex strode with confidence to Asgore. She took her soul and held it out for him to take. She smiled sadly and lowered her head slightly. Her eyelids closed, and she accepted what was going to happen. Her body began to radiate a white aurora. She disintegrated leaving nothing but white glitter and her soul. It started to shift from orange, to a lime green, a cyan, purple, yellow, and navy blue, then back to her orange color to loop again.

These were soul traits. A living things entire being. Orange was Bravery. Yellow, was Justice. Green was Kindness. Cyan was Patience. Navy Blue was Integrity. And Purple was Perseverance. Human souls were durable and not as deeply attuned with their host and can be independent for a while. However, its never been heard of that a human willingly gave their soul up. No one even dared to think such things would happen.

The multicolored soul landed into Asgore's hands. He also have been crying, but not as much. This is what LV does yo a monster. They loose their emotions for other people. Toriel shrieked and begged for him to stop. He didn't listen. He gathered the other six souls, and approached the barrier.

It glew A blinding white. It pulsed, making the white brighter then faded to a tint of grey. The souls merged with the barrier to create a rainbow of colors. The barrier was overwhelmed and broke. How could this be? Did anyone notice a color missing from the rainbow? No, in fact they thought they saw red, but they were fooled.

One color has been thought to be extinct. This color is Red that processes a special soul trait. This was Determination or DT for short. DT is the most powerful of them all. Each human soul had a small amount of DT, but it was never prominent. This soul trait was very persistent and would always reject death. This soul trait gave its host the ability to save, load, and reset similar to a game. What would happen if the barrier didn't obtain such a persistent soul such as Determination? The monsters of the Underground will never know, until three friends meet a certain human years later.....

(A/n: Sorry this chapter is a little short. Normally they contain a little over a thousand words, but I hope you are enjoying the book. This is my first time putting music into a chapter, and I hope it made it a bit more emotional for you readers.)
