Cleo sucked in a deep breath when she realized what she just did. Her breathing turned shaky and tears formed in her eyes as she looked at all the blood.
There was only one thought running in her mind.
"How could I do this?"
Cleo looked down at the unmoving body and started to sob.
"I killed someone."
"She's dead."
"I'll end up in jail."
"What are mom and dad going to say? What are they going to do?"
"What about Kim and my friends? Are they going to think I'm a monster?"
Her sobs turned into laughs, even though nothing about this situation was funny.
"My life is ruined." She thought as she kept hysterically laughing.
Cleo paused in her laughing as a thought came to her. "I just have to effectively hide the body, right? No one can confirm if I was the last person around her."
Cleo wipes her tears and looked down at Charlotte. "Where should I put her?"
Cleo looked around and frowned. The two were behind a Cafe, in an alleyway.
"I still can't believe I did this." Cleo thought.
Charlotte had used Lewis' phone to text her at 5:00 AM, saying that it was important.
Cleo naively thought that her crush had changed his mind so despite it being early, she rushed out to meet him.
To her confusion and disappointment, she saw Charlotte standing there with no one else around.

"Wow, I didn't think you'd come." The redhead said as she smirked at her.
"Charlotte?" Cleo asked with furrowed eyebrows, not understanding. "Where's-" Cleo cut herself off, not wanting Charlotte to know that she was meeting with Lewis.
But the girl knew anyway. "Lewis?" She finished Cleo's sentence, much to her surprise.
Charlotte laughed at Cleo. "Did you really think that Lewis wanted to meet with you?"
Cleo frowned, hurt. "Of course! Why wouldn't he? What did you do?" She accused.
"I'm the one that texted you." The redhead said, and smirked as she waited for the girls reaction.
Cleo shook her head, "But Lewis-"
Charlotte cut her off. "-doesn't like you, remember? He loves me and soon, he'll even stop being friends with you. I'll have him all to myself!"
"He doesn't love you!" Cleo counted back. "And Lewis would never abandon me."
"Really? They why did he pick me? When was the last time he texted or called you?" Charlotte paused and waited for an answer.
Cleo open and closed her mouth, not knowing what to say.
"Exactly. Lewis loves me. He knows that I'm better then you. We'll be the perfect couple." Charlotte smirked, "Poor little Cleo. I bet you thought that Lewis was coming here to change his mind and profess his undying love for you."
Charlotte let out a mocking laugh. "He could never love you. No one could!"
Cleo couldn't hear any more of the girls taunts. "Shut up!" She yelled, tears in her eyes. But Charlotte only laughed.
"Why should I? I'm just being honest with you. Maybe Lewis would love to hear about this. He'll think you're a desperate little girl." Charlotte said and Cleo rushed at her.
The next thing Cleo knew, Charlotte was dead.

Cleo sucked in a deep breath before grabbing Charlotte's feet.
Just as she began to drag the body, she heard a voice behind her.
"Cleo?"
Cleo froze as she realized who that was.
Emma.
"I'm done for." Cleo thought as she stayed still, not daring to turn around and face her best friend.
"Cleo? I know that's you. What are you doing back there?" The blonde girl was confused, wondering what on earth her friend was doing.
"Go away Emma!" Cleo called out and hoped that for once, Emma would listen.
"Are you sure? I can-" Emma began to offer.
"Do NOT come back here!" Cleo interrupted. Her tone frantic.
"Are you injured?" Emma asked but before Cleo could respond, Charlotte's blood began to spread out more.
Emma, thinking it was Cleo's, rushed into the alley. "Oh my God, Cleo! Are you-"
Emma paused with a gasp.
"Emma!" Cleo said as she turned around to face her friend. She then tried her best to stand in front of Charlotte's body but she knew it was already seen.
"It's not what it looks like?" Cleo began, sounding nervous. "Emma is going to tell someone." She paled and tears formed in her eyes. "I promise I didn't mean to do it. Please don't say anything, I'll-"
Emma interrupted her frantic rambles.
"Do you need help?" She asked causing Cleo to freeze.
"What?" Cleo wondered if she had misheard.
"I'll help you hide the body." Emma said as if it was a completely normal thing to offer.
"W- Why?" Cleo stuttered. "You could get in so much trouble for this! If someone found out, your future is gone!"
Emma shook her head. "Yours would be to." Cleo was going to protest again but Emma kept speaking. "You're my best friend Cleo, I'm not going to let you deal with anything alone."
Cleo sighed. She knew that she shouldn't feel so relieved about Emma helping. She should tell Emma to leave and never look back.
But Cleo knew she wouldn't be able to handle this by herself.
"H-How should we hide her?" Cleo hesitantly asked.
Emma looked around, she must have found what she was looking for because she then peaked out the alley.
She turned and looked at Cleo. "I have a plan."
"We could cover her up in trash bags. Then pick her up. There's a beach not far from here and it's really eary so no one should be around. I would suggest burying her in the sand but she'd be found pretty quickly." Emma said as she began to grab the filthy used trash bags on the alleyway ground.
"So do you want to dump her in the ocean?" Cleo asked as she helped Emma cover Charlotte's body.
Emma nodded, "Usually we would have to get weights or something and hope that she wouldn't be discovered. But we can swim down there, find a good place. Maybe a cave. Bury her there."
Cleo nodded and the two began to pick up the wrapped up body.
