Waking up next to Rosie was something Evan never thought he would get to do, but now there he is, laying in bed with her, watching her as she lays next to him with a content smile on her face. It's impossible for him not to smile.

They've been together now for a few weeks, keeping it a secret to make sure that this would actually work. And it is. It is more than Evan could hope for. He wishes he had had the courage to tell her sooner.

He caresses her face, feeling her lean into the touch, as he asks her how she's feeling. She lays on his chest, smiling brightly at him and tells him she is happy, before asking him the same question. It would be hard to put into words all that he is feeling so he settles for a simple "Same.", kissing him.

Evan decides that this is as good as a moment as any to talk about something that has been on his mind for a few days.

-"Rosie."

-"Hmm?"

-"I'm thinking maybe is time for us to tell Weir about us."

-"You sure? I thought you wanted to keep this for ourselves a little longer."

-"I'm sure. I don't want to keep hiding that we're together any longer. I want to be able to hold your hand in public, to kiss you when we're alone in your lab, without having to worry if someone is going to walk in on us. What do you think?"

-"You know I've wanted to tell everyone from the moment we got together. So, if you're ready for it, then of course. We can talk to her today, after I meet with her to give her that update on the latest translations she asked me to do."

-"Thank you, sweetheart. I can't wait to tell everyone."

-"You know what they're going to say, right?" - She smirks at him.

-"What?"

-"That it's about damn time."

He smiles at her, chuckling, before placing a hand on the back of her neck and pulling her in for a kiss. When they part, he watches her get up and putting one of his shirts on, before heading into the bathroom, thinking he is the luckiest man in two galaxies.

Rosie comes back out a few minutes later and lays next to him, asking him what he is thinking about. He can't lie to her and tells her, pulling her close. Evan hears her saying that she is the lucky one, and he holds her close as he rolls over so he's on top of her.

-"I love you so much." - He says. -"I never thought I would ever be able to say these words to you and hear you saying them back."

-"I will tell you I love you for as long as you will have me." - She smiles at him.

-"I want that, for the rest of our lives."

-"Deal."

And just like that, it's just like how everything started. With a simple deal.
