Touches or Stares (Bada Lee AU)

Chapter 39

I put on my shoes and looked at Bada who was still sleeping one last time smiling to myself at how beautiful she looks like being all peaceful sprawled on our bed...

I made my way out of the apartment... I have so much agenda for today and I can't be late or delayed on any of it. 

My phone started ringing and I answered it

"Hello..."

[Hey Maddy... I'm at downtown just waiting for you everything's ready]

"Okay, thank you I'll see you" I locked my phone and started driving away \

I arrived at my destination and parked my car. I grabbed my bag and other stuff and inhaled deeply

You can do this Maddy this is nothing. 

I entered the restaurant

And I saw her waving at me. 

"Hey Aiki..." I greeted her and she gave me a small hug 

"Hey how've you been? I missed you" She said smiling warmly at me and smiled back even if it was fake

"Redlic?" I asked her, thinking she'd get it that I'm asking where she is

"This is just a short trip and her doctors are on standby, also some of the nurses from the mental facility is here in the area just in case" I gave her a calm smile and I saw Redlic come out of the bathroom 

Her hair is now black just like mine and she sat down on the couch

"Maddy..." She said in low tone shifting her eyes from to Aiki

"It's okay Red, Maddy's just here to talk" She reassured Redlic and patted her in the head

"How are you feeling Redlic?" I asked her and she is hesitant to look at me 

"It's okay, I'm not mad anymore" I said to her and she looked up at me 

"Thank you..." She finally said and my forehead creased up 

"Why are you thanking me?" I asked her full of confusion

"Thank you for pushing me to go to a mental facility instead of being imprisoned" I smiled at her 

My extended family has long line of lawyers and when the hearing started for Redlic's case, I fought and convince my family that she is mentally unstable and not a criminal and it would be unfair for her to be placed in an establishment that she doesn't fit into 

Thus, psychiatric ward. Bada and I had a one week silent treatment because of that decision since she's so decided to get Redlic behind the bars. But I just couldn't find it in me to do that to her. 

She was right... She just loved, and would it be such a crime? Bada and her had something and it was cut off because of me and I don't blame her the next emotions she felt after realizing the girl she was pining for almost a decade decided to marry another girl 

"It's nothing Redlic... I'm here to make amends and make peace with you, I don't want to enter a new chapter of my life with Bada knowing that there's an unresolved issues with our past" I told her and smiled

Her hands are intertwined from one another on the table, shaking, I don't know if that's because she's nervous or because she pumped up with drugs 

I  inhaled and exhaled deeply, I kept looking at her eyes that are ready to shed a tear and her hands that are shaking and i can feel my breathing started to get harder and harder

Like my chest is getting tighter and tighter every seconds that passes by. 

I placed my hand on top of her cold hands
