Now, back at church, Prince had brought me home which I had changed out of my wet clothes.
I began to read the Bible patiently waiting for my father's arrival.
There he was walking in with sister Debbie, Brittany's mother, laughing as they hold each other's hands.
Sitting by the alter, I went down to him
"Daddy a weh yuh did gone ?"
"Oh nowhere just went over by the river side."
"Oh just you and sister Debbie"
"Yes summu wrong wid dat?"
"But aren't you a married man ?"
"Not anymore. He said coldly"
"Weh yuh mean ?" I said dumbfounded
He then went over to the alter and asked for everyone's undivided attention
"Good day everyone I want to announce a very big news, Debbie and I are officially getting married."
What the fuck. A muss joke ting dis. Wah bout mi madda, dem divorce and me neva get the memo. And out a all the other church memba mi fada did affi pick dutty Brittany madda. Dis can get no more worse.
I was surprised more than surprised I was shock,
Dis yah news yah shock me till me couldn't even move fi a good minute.
Heading outside I took some deep breath, trying to calm myself down.
Taking out my phone, I called Prince to pick me up.
After a couple of minutes he arrived, my father had seen him and went over to us and began to curse
"Weh yah do here demon child"
I rolled my eyes and told Prince to ignore him
Getting inside the car, we drove off, with my father cursing at him.
