The next morning someone was shaking Miley awake.
"Miley..Miley!! It was Jennifer.
"Hmm what? It's so early..." Miley complained.
"Doesn't matter. My mom wanted me to tell you to get ready because they are going to start investigating today." Jennifer explained.
Miley sat up fast. "Really? Today?" She jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom to get ready. She ran into the kitchen where Jane was reading some papers. When she saw Miley she smiled.
"Good morning Miley. Ready to go to work?" She happily asked.
Miley nodded eagerly. She was super excited to get to be an FBI agent (okay okay...not exactly an FBI agent but it's still cool to investigate a crime).
Jane and Miley hopped in the car. They listened to Shawn Mendes the whole way there.
"Make don't have to be ORDINARY, make your best mistakes" they sang.
Miley felt a little weird singing with Jane but she got over it.
They pulled up at a huge police station. They got out and walked in.
Whoa... It was so cool in there. Jane led Miley into an office. Miley saw the FBI jacket they found and it was labeled "EVIDENCE".
Miley got a wave of sadness. She was here because her mom was gone. She just realized this wasn't a bad dream, it was reality. She didn't want to keep going without her mom but she has to. She needs to just breathe.
"...Miley..Miley?? Earth to Miley" Jane was waving her hand in front of my eyes.
"Ah sorry Jane. I must've blanked out."
Jane laughed. "I think the only thing we need to do today is seal this jacket for testing. Things like DNA."
"That's it? So we're going to be here for, what? Half an hour?" Miley wanted to stay longer.
"I feel ya, but that's all we need to do." Jane looked at me with sympathy.
"Fine." Miley mumbled.
They sealed up the jacket and sent it to be tested.
When they got home Jennifer came running out.
"Miley! You got a letter from your dad!" She yelled joyfully.
That snapped me out if my sadness.
She gave me the envelope.y hands were shaking so bad I could barely open it. I pulled out a folded paper. I opened it and three rectangular papers fell out. Jennifer picked them up and handed them to me. I read the letter first:
Miley,
I'm sorry we are so far way from each other. I've missed you tremendously. I hope you haven't forgotten about the concert. Since I can't go I was hoping you can find two other friends to go with. Tell me all about it when you get back. I love you to the moon and back.
-DadOh my gosh! Miley forgot!! She looked at the other three papers and realized that they weren't papers, they were tickets. Taylor Swift concert tickets for tomorrow night. How could she have forgotten?
"Miley? Breathe Miley. What is it? Jennifer asked.
Miley showed her the tickets. She stared at them with her mouth open.
"TAYLOR SWIFT!!!" Jennifer screamed.
Miley, Jennifer, and Jane worked out all of the details. Tomorrow Miley, Jennifer, and Jack will go to the concert. They haven't asked Jack but they assumed he would want to go. Yes! Maybe this is how her and Jack will become friends.
