Miley woke up to the smell of pancakes. That was a new experience. Miley got up and went into the bathroom and brushed her hair and put her makeup on. She walked into the kitchen.
"Miley!! Your awake!" Jane exclaimed. She was really happy for 7:45 in the morning. "Let me introduce you to everyone." She pointed to a boy who looked like he was about 3 years old. "This is Joseph. He's almost four." Joseph was playing with a hamster. He turned around and smiled mischievously then all of a sudden he threw the hamster at Miley.
"Ahhhh!" Miley screamed as the hamster hit her in the head.
"Joseph! I'm so sorry! For some reason he loves doing that to visitors." Jane explained. Then she pointed at another boy who looked about twelve. "This is Jonas. He's twelve."
"Actually I'm pretty much thirteen. My birthdays in two days." Jonas explained to me.
"Oh...well happy early birthday I guess." Miley replied. He smiled big like he accomplished something.
Jane pointed to a girl about my age who Miley guessed was Jennifer. "This is Jennifer and she's seventeen." Jane said.
"Hey," Jennifer said, "cute pajamas" she laughed. Miley was confused and then Miley realized she was wearing her pajamas. "Oh gosh, thanks for letting me borrow your clothes." Miley said kind of embarrassed.
"Anytime" she smiled.
"And lastly this is Jack. Him and Jennifer are twins."
Jack looked up for about half a second then went back to doodling or whatever he was doing.
Oh my...Jack was very attractive. From that half of a second they made eye contact she saw that jack had blue eyes, sandy blond hair, and tan skin. Perfect.
"Uh hi" Miley said awkwardly.
"Hey" Jack said without looking up.
Miley looked up at Jane. Jane laughed.
"He's kind of anti-social to pretty girls." Jane quietly explained.
Miley nodded. And snuck a quick glance at Jack. She smiled to herself. She would be here for a couple months, that would give her time to talk to Jack.
"They're flying your stuff here tomorrow. So you'll only have to wear Jennifer's clothes for one day." Jane told Miley.
"Oh good." Miley sighed a sigh of relief.
"Time for breakfast!!" Jane yelled loudly.
Everyone say at the table. There was one spot open. So Miley sat there. Everyone grabbed at the pancakes. When they were done there was one small pancake left for Miley. She took it and poured syrup over it. Delicious.
After breakfast everyone just went off and did their own thing.
"Jack, will you show Miley around the house and outside?" Jane asked Jack.
Jack turned around with a look of dread, "ughhhh fine. Come on."
Miley wasn't sure if she wanted to. He was in a bad mood.
Jack walked upstairs, Miley followed. This is the bathroom, your room, Jennifer's room, my room, Joseph's room, Jonas's room, and my parents room." He pointed to every room really fast.
Miley just stared at him.
"What?" He asked in a annoyed tone.
Miley looked away. "uh nothing, thanks for showing me."
He turned around and went back downstairs. And showed her every room on that floor. Then they went into the basement. He got to the bottom of the stairs then turned around really fast and ran into me. They made eye contact for like three seconds. Then Jack cleared his throat.
"There's nothing to see down here. it's not finished yet."
They both ran up the stairs.
"Okay, uh let's go outside." Jack stuttered. For someone as attractive as him, Miley wouldn't think he'd be shy.
She followed him outside. They had a pool and a fire pit.
"Here's the...um backyard..." He said.
We walked around the pool. Miley didn't realize there was a hose on the ground and she tripped. On her way down she pushed Jack and he fell into the pool. She stared at him with her mouth open.
"Oh my gosh Jack! I'm so sorry!" Miley grabbed his hands and tried to help him out of the pool. It didn't work. She ended up falling in too.
"Ahahahaha" Jack laughed.
Miley sputtered water and splashed him.
He gasped. And splashed me back. It turned into a huge splash war. They both swam to the steps and just sat there for a minute.
"Thanks a lot. Now I have to borrow another outfit from your sister." Miley teased.
Jack turned serious again. "Sorry, we should probably go." He jumped out of the pool and left her just sitting there. Miley got up and walked inside. Jennifer gave Miley more clothes and She went into her room. Miley sat there thinking for a while then decided to turn on music (Taylor Swift). The song "Invisible" started. That song felt pretty fitting for this situation. Miley was in her room for a couple hours and decided to go find Jack or Jennifer.
She saw Jack coming up the stairs. He walked past her without even looking.
"Don't bother with him. He's hopeless." Someone said. It was Jennifer.
"Oh ok. Does he not like me?" Miley asked Jennifer.
"He likes you. probably. He's just super shy around new girls." Jennifer explained.
Miley frowned. Well okay then. She'll work on being friends with him, She doesn't want to be invisible.
