MALINAS HEAD rested against the seat of the car she sat in, her eyes squeezed shut as she listened to Annie sing right next to her. her lips her folded into a line, trying to tune her out.

her eyes opened when she heard the radio being turned off, and looked up to see Ruby glancing at Annie with an annoyed look.

"damn.. what's your problem?" Annie spoke.

Malina snickered, raising up to glance out of the window to see if there was any updates.

The drug dealer guy, who's name Malina still didn't know, had sent them to canada to pick something up for him.

After hearing Annie talk about many shows she's watched, she was sure they were going to be taking drugs across the border.

Malina had tried to come up with many excuses and reason as to why she couldn't come along, but she didn't want to get into anything else with 'Neck Tattoo' and finally gave in.

She listened to Ruby and Annie talk about Stan and some women at church, before sighing as she watched Beth throw her arms in the arm and begin walking back to the car.

"he doesn't have it."

Annie glanced at Malina, "what do you mean he doesn't have—"

"he doesn't have the package for us."

"he doesn't have it, or he won't give it to you?"

"why wouldn't he give it to me?"

"maybe he wants to keep it for himself."

"you think..?"

Annie scoffed, "Canadians."

Malina scoffed out a laugh, watching as Annie got out of the car and started talking to 'Big Mike.' her eyebrows raised, placing her hands on her knees as she leaned forward to watch closer.

But, she was also denied. and now, it was Rubys turn.

"Alright, well— nice isn't gonna cut it." Malinas eyes slightly widened as she watched Ruby pull out a gun, making her immediately lean more over since it was pointing a little too close to her.

she watched Ruby get out of the car, her mouth slightly parted as she watched, fully intrigued.

She jumped as a gun shot went off, Annie and Beth immediately screaming as 'Big Mike' fell to the floor and Ruby froze, glancing at them in fear.

Malina stared ahead, her head resting in her hands as a smile rested on her face. she watched as Julie pulled on the skirt she wore, a huge smile on her face.

"you a full time nanny, or somethin?"

Malinas smile immediately dropped and she rolled her eyes at the sound of the voice, glancing next to her to see the man taking a seat right next to her on the bench she sat on.

"you a full time stalker, or somethin?" she mocked, crossing her arms and avoiding eye contact.

he let out a laugh, shaking his head at the woman. there was a few seconds of silence, before he sat back and glanced at her, "you aren't helping your friends anymore." he spoke in a certain tone that made it sound more like a question.

after the whole canada thing, Malina thought they were really done with the man. but she was soon told that Beth had offered to do another job.

though, she refused to have anything to do with it.

she was finally done, why would she want to start something new?

and she didn't regret it at all, once she was told her friends had found a man, bleeding, in Jane's bed.

Malina simply shook her head, humming.

"thought you needed the money?" he spoke, running his tongue over his lip as he noticed the girls unbothered behavior.

"that's why i 'nanny'" she spoke, pointing towards Julie who stood with pom poms in her hands.

he scoffed out a chuckle, nodding his head. "why'd you do it in the first place?"

"didn't know i was gonna be involved with a gang." she spoke, glancing at him. "i needed the money. but i would rather babysit longer, than put my life at risk."

his lips curled inwards, he believed the girl was smart. smarter than her friends, anyway.

"and i was only the getaway driver, remember?" she rolled her eyes sarcastically, speaking in a 'duh' tone.

it didn't take the man long to notice she was a very sarcastic and un-serious person. she actually seemed like a lot of things, which made him sort of curious about her.

Malina felt his staring, and glanced at him once more. just like him, she was curious.

"seriously, how did you know where i was?" she spoke, breaking the silence between the two.

he shrugged his shoulders, in a simple way of telling her, he wasn't going to tell her.

she rolled her eyes, shrugging it off. a smile formed on her face again as Julie waved at them, the pom pom that was still in her hand, shaking.

Malina glanced at the man, making sure he was waving back at Julie, before doing it herself.

"hey, what's your name?" Malina asked, turning her head back towards the man next to her.

the man pushed himself up, making her eyes follow him as he stood. "see you soon, yeah?"

"what?" Malinas face scrunched.

"might need a getaway driver." he shrugged, stuffing his hands in his jacket pocket as he walked away, Malina rolling her eyes and shaking her head as she turned back around.
