Travis walked through the hospital corridors as Taylor was being wheeled next to him. It had been a long and challenging journey, but Taylor was finally being discharged after her stroke, ready to continue her recovery at home.

As they approached the exit, Taylor couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the doctors, nurses, and therapists who had supported her throughout her time in the hospital. They had become like a second family, providing care and encouragement during her darkest moments.

Travis squeezed Taylor's hand, his eyes filled with pride and love. "We did it, Taylor," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "You've come so far, and I couldn't be more proud of you."

Taylor smiled, her heart swelling with gratitude for Travis' unwavering support. "I couldn't have done it without you, Travis. You've been my rock through it all."

Travis opened the car door for Taylor, helping her settle into the passenger seat. After he made sure she was settled in he put the walker and wheelchair the hospital had given her to use during recovery in the trunk. As he got behind the wheel, he glanced at her, his eyes filled with tenderness. "Welcome home, Taylor," he said, his voice filled with warmth.

Taylor leaned back in her seat, a sense of peace washing over her. She knew that the road to recovery would still have its challenges, but with Travis by her side, she felt invincible.

As they drove towards their home, Taylor couldn't help but notice the familiar streets and landmarks passing by. It felt comforting, like returning to a place of safety and familiarity.

When they arrived at their house, Taylor took a moment to soak in the sight of their home, a place that held so many memories and love. She stepped out of the car, feeling a renewed sense of strength and determination.

Travis helped her out of the car and carried her bridal style inside. He then went to get her comfortable on the couch before he went back to get the stuff from the car.

As they stepped into the living room, Taylor noticed the small decorations and flowers that Travis had arranged, a subtle reminder that this was a new beginning, a fresh chapter in their lives.

After everything was settled inside Taylor managed to get up with the walker to go to the bathroom. When she came back she noticed the room was pitch black.

"Surprise!" Both Ophelia and Travis shouted as Taylor stepped into the room, her eyes widening in astonishment.

Taylor stood frozen for a moment, her gaze shifting from Travis to the decorated house and the smiling faces of their friends. Tears welled up in her eyes as she took in the scene before her. It was a moment of overwhelming joy, a reminder that she was loved and cherished.

"Travis, I can't believe you did all of this," Taylor whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

Ophelia went and hugged her mom ever so lightly. She didn't want to hurt her mom even more.

Travis stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her gently. "You deserve every bit of happiness, Taylor. This is just a small way for us to celebrate you and everything you've accomplished and overcome in the last 34 years you've been alive." She giggled at that statement. He always knew how to make her laugh even in the dark moments.

Taylor buried her face in Travis' chest, feeling a surge of gratitude and love. She had been through so much, but having Travis by her side made it all bearable. He had been her rock, supporting her every step of the way.

As the night unfolded, laughter and music filled the air. Taylor's friends surrounded her, sharing stories and memories, reminding her of the beautiful moments they had shared together. Travis watched from a distance, his heart swelling with pride and love for the incredible woman he called his girlfriend.

Amidst the celebration, Travis couldn't help but reflect on the journey they had been on. It hadn't been easy, but they had faced every challenge together, emerging stronger than ever. Taylor's stroke had been a wake-up call, a reminder to cherish every moment and to never take their love for granted.

As the night drew to a close, Travis took Taylor's hand, leading her to a quiet corner of the room. The music faded into the background as they stood together, their eyes locked.

"Thank you, Travis," Taylor whispered, her voice filled with gratitude. "This has been the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined."

Travis smiled, his heart overflowing with love. "You deserve the world, Taylor. I'll always be here for you, through the ups and downs. Happy birthday, my love."

They shared a tender kiss, their love and resilience shining through. In that moment, they knew that no matter what life threw their way, they would face it together, hand in hand.

And as the night came to an end, Taylor couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope and strength. With Travis by her side, she knew she could conquer anything that came her way.
