Chapter 9

Eloise 

Our car arrived at the venue , and there were so many photographers , flashes , sounds of clicks  I had never seen before . Damn ,  I mean ,I didn't think he was that  famous .

 The chauffeur opened the door , Zade and I followed . His hands again rested on my back , I shivered as I was still not used to his touch ,the photographers were looking towards us as they snapped photos . I tried to give my best smile despite my nerves .

"How long have you been dating ?" "Are you pregnant?"" are you the new bride of mr hawthrowne ?" " miss black why we didnot know about this relationship till now  why did you hid this relationship ?" " mrs Hawthorne what is your view on you husbands new invention .?" " mr and mrs Hawthorne look here , smile for the photograph " people were shouting the flashes burnt my eyes  , the questions made my heart jump  into my mouth , my voice was struck in my throat .

"I -"

" breathe baby "  zade whispered in my ears ,i looked at him , he was already looking at me ,  his hand was slowly rubbing my back in soothing circle ,I barely nodded my head  when -

" KISS !!!! KISSS !!!" The reporters started to chant 

His  eyes darkened and his adam s apple bobbled as he swallowed , he closed the little gap we had , he cupped my face  and our lips touched   , it was a peck  , but it felt as it lasted for centuries my lips tingled ,   and mourned the loss of the warmth , I could feel the goosebumps. Zade  tipped his chin towards the waiter and we walked inside .

Probably the kiss meant nothing to him , I painfully reminded myself all this is for show , we are acting for the people , for the world .

 Zade announced me to different people, his business patners  , his best friends , mr Francis and mr Dylan , I went off to talk to the ladies , everyone was so  prim , polished and  rich ,  wearing silk and taffeta gowns ,adorned jewels and pearls , their diamonds shown in the dim lights blinding  my eyes , And  being a stuck up bitch , Jesus Christ this was a rich bitch club . 

I thanked heaven that Lilian  is not like them .  Or I would have killed two people , zade and Lilian .

The lights were turned off and the yellow light fell on a old man as he walked into the stage " hello ladies and gentlemen , welcome to the silver blue organisation, let's  us all come together and  help the poor world , and the fun began !  "

There were many games , musical chairs , what do you know about your loves ? , plane hearts where you have to throw a paper plane towards your husband , etc . I preferred standing on the sides and watching them . Champagne and macrons were quite a nice company 

" it's the last game , Ladies and gentlemen ' the surprise game began.'"

" honey , won't you go to play the surprise game " zade suddenly hugged my back 

 I jumped in surprise " um um actually I think I feel quite unwell"I  sweetly lied to him .

" zade I can take her place  "

We both turned around to see  hope standing , in a shimmering blue dress and big sapphire earring .she walked and stood in front of us .

" oh Eloise you look so pretty "she cooed at me as she place a hand on my shoulder , I resisted an urge to hit at her long fingers .  She turned to zade " the game is beginning  shall we go  "  suddenly I did not wanted zade and hope together anymore , I quickly rushed to zade ś side and wrapped his bicep with my arm ."zade let's go the game is starting "

" but you said you were feeling sick-"

" nonsense , I am feeling fucking awesome " I chucked my rest of the champagne and dragged zade with me .

The rules were simple , we had to stand on a paper , the couple had to stand on the paper and in each round the paper would get folded and we have to stand inside the paper , it's was meant to show how much bond you have with your partner . If you ask me  in my opinion bullshit .

The game was going okay , the newspaper was big  enough ,  on the third round things got saucier .

 The  newspaper was now the  more like a small square , i was well sure that we won't be able to stand on that thing together , I doubt zade could stand in it without his legs moving out the square .  Only two competitors were left  us and the Danteś 

First was the  dante familyś turn , mr and mrs Dante stood on their tiptoes  , well play . They were able to stand without falling for 3 minutes until mrs Dante toppled down .

Now it was our turn , I would have whispered to zade to quit  it but

" hold my shoulders Eloise "

" huh ??"

 And he  bent down  his hand hooked on my knees and he lifted me up in his arms , my breaths hitched and it was so sudden my hands held firmly on his shoulder , he picked me up and stood on the paper on his tiptoes , everyone was cheering on us and I felt everything buzzing . Our faces were merely away 

" zade ,, i .. I am .., heavy "  I whimpered  I could feel my tears forming in my corner of my eye , zade is forced to do that ..

 " Eloise , look at me " he whispered , his  Adam ś apple bobbled " you are the  prettiest girl I have ever meet  " he pecked my nose , everything was a blur I don't know when  I was back standing on my feet  as everyone congratulated us for winning the completion . My mind  like a broken  tape recorder kept going on one thing 

"You are the prettiest girl I have  ever meet "
