Chapter 19

Zade 

I started at the squeaky clean white tiles of the floor as  the past events felt like a blur . Zoe ran to the nearest neighbour she could find and called an ambulance , I don't know the questions I was asked or the replies I had  given but it ended with us in the hospital , Zoe  had a broken arm and Eloise had been in the emergency room from the last two hours .

" hey" startled I looked up Francis  stood with  coffee cup in his hand 

" thanks "   My eyes feel on Zoe , she was cuddling with Lilian, her plastered hand layed on her side  , I have never seen her look so vulnerable ,  her eyes which always had a fire in them where red and teary , Lilian comforted her as she whispered sweet things in her ears .

"Eloise will be okay , zade "  Francis  tapped my shoulder 

The operation  room doors swiftly opened , as the blue masked doctors came outside , in a jiffy everyone stood up 

" patient is out of danger "

I felt I could breath again , I felt my lungs finally understood how to breath , Eloise is okay , oh my god she is alive , I never felt alive  than this before , tears gathered in corners of my eyes .  

" sir , can can  I go and  and see my wife " I sniffed 

" mrs hawthrone  had a broken femur and a wrist , she suffered some  minor burns she maybe a bit loopy because of the Anastasia but you can meet her "

The room was dark and quiet ,  the only sound of the heart monitor  echoed in the room , the yellow light shone made Eloise look pale , her hands were covered with a big casts , her free hand had an iv .

I quietly sit near her , as I gently picked her hand into mine " baby I know you are in pain , wish I could take it away from you , but I can't but you know what I can do ?, I will never let the people live who have caused you this pain " I whispered to her .

" I love you Eloise , I love you very very much "

Her fingers in her hand stirred, her movements were quite numb, her eyes twitched open as she squinted them because of the yellow bulb .

" Eloise ?"

" who , what , where " her eyes fell on me she "you "

" me ?"

" you're pretty "

"Ya ?" Déjà vu hit me as I remembered our  wedding day . I bent down and kissed her lips 

 Her eyes widened  like a full moon " pretty boy kissed me " she whispered to herself 

" you kiss me " "you , you kiss...." As she fall back asleep.

"Jesus If you were my wife and was a pain in my ass I would have never married you" Eloise flipped through the wedding album as she happily spotted all  of her middle fingers in all the photos .

" I don't mind it , your the pain in my ass " I said causing Eloise to profusely blush 

She  folded her hands in front of her and placed her  chin on top of it " no tell me the truth why did you marry , you could have easily married that " she faked a vomiting sound " ceramic bitch "

" I was walking and saw your ass and said damn that girl has a complete bakery,  bam we are married  " I winked at her as I slapped her ass , my ass 

" no tell me the truth " Eloise whined as she rolled on the bed on top of me as she started  tickling me

" when I was in kindergarden , I was the new kid and everybody bullied me " o smiled , man kids are the meanest pieces of shit ever .

" so I always used to play alone near the fence and on my birthday , I still remember my parents got me these cool  white shoes with the small hearts  , and that day Priyanka , the girl who hated me for no fucking reason " I took a calm breath 

" Jesus I still held a grudge against her " I  chuckled 

" us bro us " Eloise patted my shoulder with a knowing nod 

" so that day Priyanka decided to be extra mean and she pushed me that day into the mud and  my white shoes where so dirty and and mrs honey did not do anything because we are just kids like bruh  and so I  crying  on the cement block and then a girl came to me her pigtails bouncing like crazy and she helped me and helped me clean my shoes " I smiled at her 

" you know Eloise one of the Hearts on the shoes kind of got rubbed off so that girl drew a heart  in that place for me "

 " awwwwwwww" Eloise cooed with her hands on her chest 

"And know what " I jumped out of the bed and quickly opened the bottom cabinet and pulled out a box " I still have those shoes " 

"Damn they still look so new "

"Yeah , after she drew the heart in my shoes I never worn them again " I laughed " I swear , my mother was so possed at me for not using my shoes but everyday I would take out these shoes and stare at them "

"Damn bro you were so fucking in love " she laughed 

" ya  I laughed "and that day I promised her that I would marry her " I licked  my dry lips moist and "you know what Eloise" I smiled at her

" zade you have been walking with two stuff toys in your hand for last half an hour instead of your nieces " i looked down to see I was holding two koala bears , the girls were sitting on lilians lap .

"I know this is your first time becoming your dad everything would be okay "  Francis assured me 

" they even kicked me out of the room " I said  exasperatedly throwing my hands in air 

"You fucking fainted three times , of course  they would  do that "  Lilian bit a biscuit.

" I am here " Zoe panted as with her hands on her knees .

I looked at her shirt and saw it buttoned wrong and her pants inside out  , I grinder my molars , that douchebag  is with her again .

" why are you with him again " I gritted my teeth " I told you to focus on your school"

Zoe rolled her eyes " Jesus you are the big brother I never wanted "

"Zoe I -"

 The wailing sound of the baby was heard , I rushed inside the room .i opened my mouth but no words came out , I blinked my eyes as I entered the room 

" congratulations mr Hawthorne , it's a girl "

A tiny pink blanket was placed  on my hands ,  my child 

" Jesus , she is perfect " tears came into my eyes , I turned towards Eloise  " Eloise , she is perfect  "  I sniffed "she is perfect like you "

An old lady nurse appeared with a paper and cleared  her throat  "so , mr and mrs Hawthorne have you decided a name "

"Sylvia "

I looked toward Eloise , I could not believe her what she said , Eloise smiled 

"Well she was  the girl who saved us  "
