Chapter 18

Eloise 

My head lolled to the side and bashed on the chair on the chair I was sitting on , my check stung , my eyes meet zoeś  she has been crying " you were gone for more than two hours and i panicked "

" are you okay ?  " as  I still felt loopy and there was an annoying ringing sound in my head .

" you are not tied down anymore "  I crooked "yes let me help you ", she picked the small piece of glass , from the screen and cut through my ropes 

" fucking free " I stretched my hands up " Jesus Christ this was wild  what the fuck dad is drinking nowadays  , he is making top tier bad decesions "

" they have locked us in " 

"Fuck  ! Why the hell are you not panicking "

" I already panicked two hours ago when you were out cold "she shrugged  "and if we have been okay for two hours locked I think we will survive "

 My nose twitched " am I having a side effect in from medicine or this place smell funny ?"

And then realisation set in , my eyes went wide  as I looked at Zoe as we both  shouted  " fire !!" Adrenaline pumped through my veins as I started kicking on the windowsill to break the metal grills off  , Zoe and I struggled , as the room started to fill with smoke , the rusty grill  groaned as  the piece  finally came off ,  I rushed and grabbed both the bed sheets from our beds and tied them together , when I felt the rope was tight enough I flunked it across the windowsill.

I coughed  , " Zoe get down "

Her face was red due to the fumes and the toxic gases " I can't leave you behind " she sputtered 

" this is not the fucking time to argue Zoe and as you get down run towards the next person you can find help okay ? "  she nervously nodded as I forced her towards the windowsill " go !"

 As my sister slowly made her way down as I hold on to our  makeshift rope , hoping my sister to be safe , I could feel the heat from the flames approaching , I bundled up myself in one of our blankets ,   I could fell the heat as the  as the walls of our room were slowly swallowed by fire , all our memories ,all our childhood  I swallowed so this is how our childhood ends  ,before I had a chance to escape , 

 our house crumbled down .

Zade 

 My lungs burns , my body burns  , the cold air makes my fingers  numb ,   my feet bleed as I continue to run , the little sharp stones  and twigs cut my feet my  but I didn't stop , Eloise ,  the safety of  her  gnaw at me i  need to save my girl  , I can't let anything happen to her .I don't know I long I have running but I know it's close to the forest from Eloise house , she took me here once for a picnic , my eyes feel on the black clouds floating in the sky , I hope this not her house  . God please don't be her house . 

My heart jumped in my mouth as I stood as the gate , where once stood a house , only things were left were rubbles and dirt  ,  the red flames of the fire engulfing everywhere , I did not wait  as I rushed inside . " Eloise ! Eloise " I started picking up the dust and  debris " Eloise " my throat burned  , " Eloise ! " As I tried to move  the bricks off black smoke blinding me  , no she can't leave me like this ."Eloise " I shouted , my heart pained , as tears streamed down my eyes ," Eloise !" I tripped , I coughed as I inhaled the toxic fumes of the fire ," Eloise , please Eloise "

Their was a faint vibration from the left , I quickly started removing  the slabs of bricks away from the way , " Eloise "  hair sprawled out a  wrapped white fabric , my hands worked as fast as I could , "Eloise " as I pulled her out of the white comforter , with all my force I was able to drag out of the fire  , I kept tapping her checks  ,as her head layed  on my lap  , eyes closed , her lips were gray from the dust  and smoke  , I rubbed her hands  trying to warm her  " Eloise , Eloise can you here me ?" I cried " baby talk to me " , I hugged her as I broke down into tears , I can't lose her , 

 "Z...zad..zade " as she struggled to kept her eyes open ,

I looked down at her as I cupped her face  " oh my god Eloise  ,"

" za.. zade , I " she broke into a fits off coughs

 " Eloise  easy , just keep your pretty eyes open for me  , don't scare me like this ever again " tears streamed down my checks 

 " no ... no. I ....I  never told .. told  ,"    she licked  her dry lips " I ..I love you zade "

" I love you too eloise" her eyes began to close  I tapped her checks , " Eloise , no don't close your eyes at me look at me "

" I don't want, want to leave you , and  ,  " she heaved , her breaths came out as small puffs " look .. look after Zoe"

" I will , but but " I wiped me tears "  you are not going anywhere , Eloise , you can't die Eloise , you can't leave me alone " I vigorously rubbed her hands as they began to feel cold  against me  " baby you can't leave me alone " 

"Kiss me zade  for a last time "

 I bent down  and  My lips touched hers.  For the last time we became one .
