Loki's point of view:
I had lost all control. I was beating buttons up frantically at random. I had no clue where I was going or what I was doing. Blurs shot past my window as I tried anything in my power to stop moving. I was beginning to lurch at the pure chaos of speed and movement when I abruptly stopped.
My head when straightforward hitting the leather steering wheel causing a screen if pain. My seatbelt had dug in but not too much and would probably only be a small friction burn. I quickly raised my head and unbuckled my seat belt and looked out the window to my right.
A forest? I adjusted my gaze and my eyes followed round. I was met with more and more trees until I saw a man standing right in front of my car wide eyed and both hands tense by his side.
My eyes widened and I leaped out the car. As I walked towards him he took a few steps back, "Oh my lord! I am so sorry. Are you okay?" I asked arms out in apology.
His mouth opened to speak, however no sound came out. "How did you do that?" He asked, not breaking mg gaze once. He didn't even have time to blink.
I lowered my arms slightly and straightened my posture, "Do what?" I cocked my head to the side.
"That!" He waved his hand about in the direction of my car, "You just appeared, and those are dense forests, you wouldn't be able to drive your car through those." He informed me.
"Oh." How did I just appear? "Would you believe me if I told you I was a time traveller?" I asked hesitantly.
He furrowed his eyebrows, "No!" He said in a breathy voice. "How did you do that?" He asked again.
I took a step forward, in turn he took a step back, "I have no other explication for you other than time traveler. Would you like me to show you the controls?" I asked trying to provide some evidence.
"And let you kidnap me? No way." He shook his head.
I snorted, "Cant really kidnap an old man." I muttered under my breath.
He raised his eyebrows, "Excuse me?" He crossed his arms. "You know what, I would like to see these controls." He added.
I nodded "Okay. Come here then." I ushered him to the car. He shuffled over, glancing over from me to the car hesitantly.
I opened the car door and he peeks through. I showed him all the buttons and switches that covered what used to be a normal dash bored. Everything was currently smoking though. "I think its broken right now. Seen as I quite literally lost control of it." I laughed.
I closed the car door. "One question." He said. I nodded at him to go on. "Time machines, they are cars?" He asked.
I shook my head, "They can honestly be anything that has any sort of controls and can fit you inside." I told him.
"And you chose a black ford thunderbird?" He asked tilting his head to the side.
"Its a nice car!" I defended myself.
He took another look at all the controls, "What does that do?" He asked pointing to a panel of switches. Before I could answer, he pushed his hands forward and pressed it.
I almost let out a yell and then the panel sparked and left behind some smoke. The man jumped back and glanced at me startled, "I think its broken." He said, blank faced.
"You think?" I sighed and moved away from him and over to the hood of the car. I pulled it up and was met with a full face of smoke. Leaning back to cough, I caught a glance of the man chuckling in amusement. Once the smoke had cleared I went back to looking at the 'engine'.
Where the engine was supposed to be was replaced with the inner workings of the machine. Complicated wires, motherboards and all sorts if things. "Completely buggered!" I exclaimed.
The man walked around Fromm the car door and peaked into the hood. When he saw under the hood he exclaimed, "My word, you really are a time traveller." As he looked at machinery he had never seen before.
I slammed the hood down and rested my elbows on it, holding my head in my hands, "Yeah. A time traveller who's completely buggered!" I yelled into the endless woods. "No money, no clothes, no house, no idea where I am. And. No. Fucking. Time. Machine!" I shouted in frustration.
"Well surely you can fix it?" He leaned on the car to look at my face which I had covered with my hands.
I perked up, "What year is this?" I asked, with excitement I may be somewhere with half decent technology.
"Nineteen sixty four." He told me.
I sighed and slumped back down, "Great. Just my luck!" I slammed my hand on the hood of the car. "Not only will it take me a while to fix, now I have to find parts in this decade where they think putting lights on aluminium Christmas trees is a safe idea." I went off on a tangent.
He crossed his arms, "That went out in the fifties." He told me.
"Okay nerd. Not helpful." I responded bitterly. "Suppose im going to be living in my car for a few months." I looked around the woods I was in, "Probably not here though... I'd rather not get murdered here." I was talking to myself.
I walked round to the back of the car while the man stayed still. I opened my boot to find just what I expected- jack shit. There was a map from some hike I had gone on in nineteen seventy, a screwdriver, a knife and nothing else.
As I was staring into the abyss that was my car boot the man jumped up and quickly made his way over to me. "I have an idea." He told me, his voice laced with interest, "You could stay with me."
