You're just like a tattoo, only in my head. You're forever stuck there, and I can't snatch the memory of you out.
It's been a while since I've seen you, and you're fading away. You're still there, though. Thank god.
Even if you're gone, I'd like to keep you forever. Some say I need to move on. But tattoos can't be removed so easily. I've been told you have to use a laser.
You meet me again at a coffee shop, for "one last time," you say. Then after we're done, you say "let's get away."
I've never been so happy. I immediately say "yes." You pull my hand and we get into the car.
I fall asleep, dreaming of you, my now vibrant tattoo.
I wake up in a bed, the room is all white. You're sitting next to me, and I smile. But that smile fades when I see the laser beside the bed.
I try to make a run for it, but you've got me strapped down. I know what you're doing.
You grab the laser, placing it on my head. The tattoo starts to fade, and my memory will soon be dead.
You planned it all along, my beautiful tattoo. And now, when I wake up, I'll have no memory of you.
