Just a bit Bamboozled

"Why were you gone for so long?" Purpled scolded me the next day. "And what's this we're hearing about you attacking Hellhound?" He added after a moment.

"I didn't technically attack him. I just blew up a rubbish bin he just so happened to be next to. I didn't attack him." I defended myself. Brushing past him to open the café.

"You still didn't answer my question of what you were doing." Purpled walked after me.

"Just regular patrol." Purpled scoffed.

"You better not have been talking with that vigilante again." Once I didn't respond, Purpled groaned.

"Tommy! We have talked about this! You are a villain, and he is a vigilante. He is going to get you caught!"

"No he won't. It's fine, Purpled. Stop being a mother hen." Purpled rolled his eyes before helping me open up the café. He continued to mutter about how irresponsible I was and how I would one day regret it. I ignored him as we both prepared the café.

The day was relatively uneventful. It was the same as usual. Wilbur didn't come back today, I wasn't too surprised, just a little sad. But if you asked I would deny it.

Once we closed up the café I left. Even though I own the building and I have a room I can sleep and stay in, I have a house a bit away. It's a one story house, not too small but not too big either. I had gotten it just in case any of my friends needed a place to crash for the night. Eventually it proved to not be needed when we ended up just having rooms above the café.

Once I reached my house I made sure to put all my things away before getting ready for my patrol. I didn't change into my gear until I was at my other hide-out. My crew does not know about this hideout, it's for my more personal hits and stuff.

I carried a backpack with me as I walked a few blocks away from my house. The night breeze moved my hair as I walked ,music playing in one of my ears from my earbuds. I really hoped that Jubilee follows my advice and doesn't patrol today.

Arriving at the warehouse I went in through the side door. Walking down the stairs I reached the actual hide out part of the place. There were lights around and papers taped on the walls. Bits of evidence and half thought out plans scattered the table surfaces. A TV sat against a wall, a couch facing it and an abandoned can of coke on the side table.

Once I had finished changing into my gear I ran out of the building, preparing to begin my patrol.

The first hour of the patrol was uneventful, nothing worth noticing. No new hero activity and no other villains trying to claim new territory. Scouting possible heist spots and keeping to the shadows I just wandered around aimlessly. But of course my peace couldn't be maintained. A fireball flew past my head from behind me. Whipping around I saw Hellhound, Daydream and Hypnos following right behind.

"Well shit." I didn't exactly feel like fighting three heroes today but I guess I have no choice. I hated the Dream team. After the shit stuff they did to me when I was younger, I would just try to avoid them.

"Stop right there Cherry Bomb! You're under arrest!" Hellhound began listing crimes that I had committed, I wasn't listening to a thing he was saying.

"Oh no, I'm totally just going to hand myself in for you to arrest me, that is totally something I would do." I feigned fear before strengthening my posture and glaring at them. "Boo, hoo! Go cry me a fucking river Hellhound." Hellhound scowled. DayDream launched a chunk of cement at me with his telekinesis.

It was a familiar dance that we performed often. They launched attacks and I dodged, occasionally launching attacks of my own, just hanging around to inconvenience them.
