The theatre was packed with students as the three of us arrived. Conversation between ranged from weapons, semblance and students of the opposite sex.
Yellow Hair Girl: Ruby!! Come over here! I saved you a spot!
The girl waved at Ruby and Ruby had to part way with us. So that girl must be Ruby's sister Yang Xia long. Jaune and I waited for the opening ceremony, making small talks to fill up the gap that Ruby left. Soon after Ozpin walked to the center of the stage
Ozpin: I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.
Sheesh talk about a depressing speech that even the students start to whisper about it. Goodwitch took the stage to inform that our initiation begins tomorrow.
soon nightfalls as I'm in a simple sleepwear consisting of a black shorts with a simple white tshirt. I pulled out my sleeping bag next to a window where I could feel the winds and fresh air.
Yang: Hey there Klaus!
Ruby and her sister, Yang came over dragging Ruby by the arm to my bag.
Ruby stood there awkwardly while Yang looked back at us. I think I'll have to start a conversationKlaus: Is this your friend Ruby?
Yang: No, No I'm Ruby's sister, Yang Xio Long. Pleased to meet you.
She greeted with an extended arm forward. I took hers and gave a firm shake.
Klaus: The pleasures all mine.
Yang: Thanks for helping Ruby out there this morning by the way
Ruby: Yang don't treat me like a child!
Ruby shouts in embarassment while the two of us chuckled. A gust of wind brewd up, messing up my hair and my ear protude out.
Ruby: Oh You're a Faunus Klaus, I never realised that!
Ruby said with her eyes sparkling, after seeing me perked up grey cat ears. I could hear Ruby talking to herself about petting my ears. The thought made me chuckle.
Klaus: Well it isn't just me that helped you out, there was this other girl too.
Ruby: Oh yeah the girl with the black bow!
Yang: You mean that girl?
Yang pointed to a girl across the room. She was leaning against the wall, reading a book which was illuminated by a candle stick. We both nod in agreement and Yang pulled both of our arms and dragged across the room.
Klaus: Hey hey hey what're you doing Yang?
Yang: Making another friend, obviously.
The girl looks over her book unenthusiastically, almost annoyed for what was about to happen.
Yang: Hel-looooo! I believe you two may know each other?
Girl with the bow: Aren't you... that girl that exploded?
She looked up from her book clearly bothered while Ruby smiles, embarrassed. She dons a midnight-blue, silk sleep set adorned with subtle crescent moon patterns. Her bow perfectly placed on top of her head.
Ruby: Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can just call me Crater...Actually, you can just call me Ruby
Girl with the bow: Okay.
She goes back to her book while the rest us just stood there waiting for Ruby to Converse more which didn't happen because Ruby had zero clue on what to do next. Sighing to myself I stood forward and extended my arm.
Klaus: Good evening, my name is Klaus Lauren and whats your name?
She finally closed her book and stared at my palm for a few moments, debating whether on to return the handshake.
Blake: Blake.
Yang: Well, Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister! I like your bow!
Blake: Thanks!
You could sense the irritation in her tone
Yang: It goes great with your... pajamas!
Blake: Right...
Yang: Nice night, don't you think?
Blake: Yes - it's lovely! Almost as lovely as this book! That I will continue to read. As soon as you leave!
Yang: This girl is a lost cause!
Klaus: Hey Yang that's not-
Weiss: What in the world is going on over here?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep?
Weiss storms onto the scene in her own pajamas, we both met eyes. Her porcelain-like skin glows in the dimly light moonlight while I got lost in her eyes. They possess a deep and piercing shade, reminiscent of a clear winter sky.
Weiss: Are you even listening to me you dolt?!
Klaus: Ye-yes?
Weiss: You better not interfere with me tomorrow!
Klaus: Like I would go out of my way for you!
Blake, who rolls her eyes at the fight, simply closes her book, reaches over to grab her candle, and blows it out. I could hear Weiss walk away grumbling to herself.
Klaus: "Yeah go get your beauty sleep princess!"
Weiss: Oh hush you.
It's almost time to sleep to sleep, I could hear Blake getting ready for bed.
Blake: Aren't you getting ready for bed?
Klaus: Kinda interesting that you can still see me in this pitch black darkness. It's almost like you're a Faunus
Blake: Well...I get that a lot but it's all thanks to my mom. She made me eat a lot of carrots when I was little.
Klaus: Enough with the lies Blake. I can know the difference between a human and a Faunus by thier scent. Now tell me why are you hiding?
Blake's eyes beckon with a golden warmth, each glance a dance of mystery and intimacy. The subtle slitted pupils reveal a feline grace, drawing myself into a world vulnerability where I am not welcomed, yet
Blake: It's none of your business.
She spat back, standing up. I held up my hands in defeat, not wanting to piss her off.
Klaus: Is it ok if we tagged along for tomorrow's exam? I really don't know anyone else here
Blake: What about the Schnee? Do you hate them?
Working at the Schnee Dust Company felt like shackles on my spirit, a Faunus bound by chains of servitude, they are the ones who took my mother away from me. I could never forget about that
Klaus: Yes but it's none of your concern.
Blake: I understand but what about Weiss Schnee? I saw you looking at her before.
Klaus: She isn't a part of this. I don't want to associate with her.
Blake: Alright, I guess you can tag along tomorrow. Good night Klaus.
Klaus: Good night Blake
