Calum opened his eyes slowly and rubbed them shortly afterwards. He found himself in the corner of his bed with the sun peeking through the windows.

"I'm proud of you." A voice spoke from the front of the room.

"Whatever do you mean?"

"You slept through the night." Calum's mother hugged him briefly and walked out.

It was a dream. All of it. The first dream Calum has had in the longest time.

"Fear killed her," he whispered to himself. "I killed her."

...

Calum walked to the cemetery and kneeled down to finally mourn over the death of his girlfriend, Jane Gray.

"Your touch made all my monsters go away." He kissed the gravestone and walked away towards his car.
