The house was empty. It was just Seungmin at home with Rejin. The whole group plus their kids were supposed to be going out but the worst thing ever happened: Rejin got sick. Jisung took his daughters to his parents house and Seungmin didn't blame him. With Hyun-Ae's breathing problems and Ji-Yu's weak immune system, it was for the best that they weren't around.
"Appa!" Rejin waddled over to Seungmin, putting his arms up to be held.
"Hey puppy" Seungmin picked him up, grabbing a tissue and wiping Rejin's nose.
"Blow" Seungmin instructed. Rejin blew out and then gasped for breath. Seungmin wadded the tissue up, putting it to the side.
"Feel better?" He wondered.
"No" Rejin shook his head, looking miserable. Seungmin patted his back, feeling sorry for his child.
"Do you want some apple juice?" Seungmin asked. Rejin nodded, trying to get up to get it himself but Seungmin kept him close as he stood up, going to the kitchen and pouring his son some juice.
"Here, take it slow" Seungmin warned. Rejin nodded again, using both hands to hold up the cup.
"Slow down, Rejin. You'll make yourself sick" Seungmin tipped the cup down so Rejin didn't drink as much so fast.
"Sorry" the boy stopped and looked at Seungmin. His eyes were glossy and were slowly starting to close. Seungmin put the juice to the side, pulling Rejin closer so that his kid was laying on his chest. The sound of Seungmin's heartbeat was enough to lull the three year old to sleep.
A few minutes later, the others walked in. The kids ran in but they stopped when they saw Seungmin and Rejin and then continued quietly to their rooms.
"Aww. I have to get a picture!" Chan pulled his phone out.
"Don't you dare" Seungmin glared at Chan but it did nothing and the oldest saved the picture to a folder in his phone reserved entirely for pictures of his members and the kids. Seungmin just sighed and then panicked and froze when Rejin started to move.
"Shouldn't you put him in his bed?" Felix pointed out.
"I would but he gets clingy when he's sick and I don't want to move and accidentally wake him" Seungmin shook his head. Felix nodded and went to go find Jae, who had run inside before him and was now playing a game of hide and seek. Someone sneezed somewhere in the house and Seungmin perked up. That wasn't Rejin which meant it was one of the other kids, which meant one of the other kids was getting sick and that was not a good thing.
"Who sneezed?" Chan wondered. A kid coughed but it was different than the one that sneezed.
"Not the same one that coughed. Shall we do an investigation? Take all the kids' temperatures?" Seungmin suggested. Chan sighed tiredly, knowing they had no other choice. By the time he finished taking the kids' temperatures, Rejin, Mo Cha, Hae-Jun, Suk-Ja, Jack, Will and Jin were all sick.
"This is just perfect. Before we know it, all of them are going to be sick" Felix complained. Jae looked a little scared that she was going to be sick.
"Maybe we should all go somewhere? I mean for those who don't have a kid that is sick. And those who do have just one sick kid, the others can go with one of us. If someone can take Aria, I'll need to stay here with Jack and Will" Chan rubbed a hand over his face, tired.
"I'll take her, give her a chance to be with her favorite uncle" Jeongin decided, picking up Seojin.
"Thanks, Innie. One of us should call Jisung, let him know what's happening" Chan nodded along. Jeongin nodded, going to pack up some clothes for Seojin and tell Aria that she needed to get some clothes together.
"I've already called him. He said that we can send one or two of the not sick kids to him as long as they show no signs of getting sick" Felix explained.
"Great, so we send Ye-jin to him and hope that none of the kids get sick" Hyunjin decided.
"Wouldn't it be better for one of us to take Ye-jin? Just in case there is a chance of him getting sick?" Jeongin pointed out.
"Yeah. I'll take Ye-jin and Hyo-Ri" Felix nodded.
"And Innie can take Ki-moon" Changbin added. He already knew that Jeongin was going to agree to it.
"Good. Thanks, Lixxie" Hyunjin smiled at his friend. Felix went to help the kids get packed and soon they were all leaving. Felix and Jeongin enjoyed their vacation, having decided to go to the beach, with Jae, Ye-jin, Hyo-Ri, Aria, Seojin and Ki-moon.
Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin and Seungmin spent the next two weeks dealing with coughing, sneezing, puking, fevers, more coughing and sneezing and whining, and random moments of peace and quiet when the kids were sleeping.
