"Hyung! I don't want to be in trouble" Seojin clung to Rejin. The older one was trying to think but Seojin was not making it easy.
"We won't be in trouble. Just let me think" Rejin closed his eyes.
"We skipped practice! Appas are going to kill us!" Seojin sobbed.
"Let me think!" Rejin snapped, pushing Seojin off of him. The maknae huffed, staring at Rejin.
"Our coaches will send a note home, right? They always do" Rejin finally had an idea.
"Yeah" Seojin nodded, waiting for what Rejin was planning.
"And we need to have a parents signature proving that appa and samchong know we skipped?" Rejin grinned evilly, slowly forming a plan in his head. This was going to be great.
"Get to the point!" Seojin punched him in the arm.
"Forgery! We can sign the notes before we get home and turn them back in tomorrow" Rejin exclaimed, like it was obvious. Seojin looked a little skeptical but it was the best idea they had so he agreed.
The worst idea ever.
"What were you thinking?!" There was one thing about Jeongin that separated him from some of his hyungs. He never yelled. There was only three people in the group who had never raised their voices to their kids:Jeongin, Felix and Jisung.
"Appa, we didn't think it would go this badly. We just didn't want to get in trouble" Seojin hiccupped, trying to explain through his tears. Rejin kept his head down, his bangs covering his face from view. Seungmin was staring holes into his son's head.
"Well guess what?! You just got into more trouble for skipping and forging my signature. Go to your room!" Jeongin snapped. Seojin sniffled and slowly trudged up the stairs to his and Rejin's room. He was angry at Rejin for coming up with the idea. Up until he heard Seungmin lecturing the eight year old and then Seojin just felt sympathy.
"I'm really sorry, dongsaeng" Rejin plopped down on his bed. Seojin was laying on his bed, facing the wall.
"Don't apologize. I knew it was wrong too" Seojin mumbled. Rejin still heard him and listened. Neither of them said a word until they were called down for dinner.
Now, dinner was a very fun affair. Especially with fifteen kids. But tonight, Rejin and Seojin could not enjoy it.
"What did you two do?" Hae-Jun leaned over to them, keeping his voice low.
"Skipped soccer and basketball and then forged the signatures on the notes our coaches sent home" Seojin answered quickly. Jeongin has been watching him through the entire meal and Seojin really did not want to be in more trouble for whispering at the table.
"Ooh good luck" Hae-Jun winced in sympathy. Changbin tapped him on the arm and Hae-Jun went back to eating and talking with Suk-Ja and Will.
"Do any of you have homework to do?" Chan wondered. Jack huffed and headed for the stairs. He did have a project but he had been hoping to get away with not doing it, at least for one night.
"Yeah, I have a paper to write" Suk-Ja nodded.
"I don't!" Ki-moon announced proudly. Suk-Ja stopped walking on the third step.
"That's not true! His teacher gave him a study guide to help with the test he has at the end of the week!" She tattled. Ki-moon glared at her and chased after his sister. Hyunjin just shook his head. He hoped they wouldn't kill each other.
"Ahh! Appa, help me!" Suk-Ja squealed as Ki-moon got to her.
"Your bigger than he is and stronger. Fight back! Just don't leave any permanent marks and don't break anything" Hyunjin yelled in response.
