I've been studying my ass off for this EMT written exam. For weeks now it's been 15 weeks and it's time to take the exam today. Me and Ryan have been taking this exam seriously since day one. I asked Tommie to take me up there to take the test. She was willing to, I just had to get ready.
"Bae can you quiz me while I'm in the shower." I yelled out to Tommie to help me.
"Yes bae." She came into the bathroom with my book in her hands sitting on the toilet.
"You are treating a patient who has chest pain. She tells you she has an automatic implanted cardiac defibrillator. While performing your secondary assessment, she becomes unresponsive, apneic, and pulseless. You should... a. wait for her defibrillator to respond. b. begin chest compressions and attach your AED. c. contact medical control for orders. d. begin chest compression but do not connect your AED."
"Umm if she's unresponsive you wouldn't get her defibrillator, you would begin chest compression and attach your AED so B."
"That's correct baby."
"Okay give me a harder question bae please."
"Alright, A 3 year old female has difficulty breathing after she swallowed a piece of hard candy, which lodged in her throat. What abnormal sounds should you expect to hear on auscultation? a. Rales b. Stridor c. Snoring d. Wheezes."
"Poor baby omg, ummm B. Stridor."
"That's correct here's another one. You are treating an injury to the right knee due to a motorcycle collision. There is severe hemorrhage from the extremity at the site of deformity You should... a. apply direct pressure over the site. b. apply direct pressure over the right femoral artery in the innngu.....
"Inguinal baby you don't have to finish reading because I know that answer. It's apply a tourniquet to the right thigh."
"Well baby your going to pass for sure. The whole exam. I wish you knew all of this when Lexi shot me."
"You ain't gotta worry no more baby because ima be all your protection from now on. Plus who?"
"Idk baby."
"Exactly don't say her name anymore in our house."
"Okay bae, but other than that you're going to pass for sure."
I gotten out the shower to put on my clothes. I dried my body off good put on my black leggings, my favorite rainbow half shirt, my Cuban link, my promise ring, some deodorant and my jimmy choo perfume. I decided to put on my rainbow colored Valparaiso Nike shoes to match. I applied some clear lip gloss. I was ready to leave. I grabbed my books to study on the way. We took the white corvette to the school. We had to meet a the university of Miami college to take our exam.
"I'll be out here when you pass baby because I know you will and don't forget your glasses." I kissed Tommie so deeply, she whispered good luck into my ear. I put on my glasses and smiled walking towards the main door.

Tommie POV
I watched Riah walked into the main building. I decided to recline my seat and lay back because it's going to be 2 hours. I drifted off to sleep and dreamed of me and Riah.
[All you gotta do is push Tommie. Ahhhh! I screamed that's Is all I could do. Come on baby one more push Riah told me. And I did. I can't believe another human being was coming out of me. Screaming just like her mommy. It's a girl. The doctor said ma'am you need to move your car. I looked confused as he banged on the door. Then kept banging]
I was awakened by this guy in a orange vest telling me to move my car. "Ma'am you can't sleep here, you have to move your car." I started up my corvette to move.
"Okay, I was waiting for my girlfriend she taking the EMT exam."
"You have a whole hour to go, they not done yet."
"Thank you." I moved. I headed to the flower shop to grab roses for Riah.
I googled the closest flower shop by the college an Flor De Lux popped up. I drove to them pulling up in front I just parked and jumped out. Walking in to the shop I was greeted by this florist, a young woman.
"Hello, welcome in. What kind of flowers are you looking for?"
"Some beautiful roses for my girlfriend. I wanted to surprise her, she's taken her EMT exam today and I know she's going to pass."
"How many roses dear?" This other florist lady asked me.
"A dozen of roses." She picked out some nice beautiful roses and gave them to me.
"That will be $20.26." I handed her my black card then she swiped it. The purchase went through and I was well on my way. I stopped at the ATM to pull money from my account. 2000 thousand dollars cash just because.( I said to myself). Pulling back up to the college I waited another 5 minutes then Ryan and Riah were coming out the main door then cried hugging each other.
Riah POV
"Bitch is Tommie looking?"
"Yes friend she is. You remember the plan?"
"That you didn't pass yes I know." So I passed my exam but I'm going to play a little joke on Tommie, that I didn't even pass.
"She just got out of the car, keep crying." Ryan said he holding me.
"Ima pretend I'm on the phone with my mommy. No mommy I didn't, all this for nothing. Who am I kidding thinking I could be come a firefighter. I couldn't even save Tommie."
We got closer to the car. "Surprise!!" Me and Ryan yelled showing off our certificates to Tommie.
"We passed baby." I said hugging her.
"Y'all play so much boy!"
"It's okay baby I can save your life overnight." I twerked all on her pelvis.
"Here bae." She went into the car and handed me a bouquet of roses. Then a hand full of money. I instantly started crying.
"You can't play with me I knew you passed big baby." I just hugged her more and tighter.
