Chapter 18. A New Feeling From Tay

Rachel POV

I have been seeing Tay since the club last month. She really has been making me smile a lot lately. It's crazy that since I've conceived I don't find myself attracted to James anymore. Idk maybe because he almost killed me and my daughter. I've told him this when we moved in with Riah and Tommie. He has been trying to make it up to me but I just don't want to be bothered by him. His touch and kisses don't move me anymore. I don't hate him because that's a strong word, I just know that he wasn't really ready to be a father. Now I gotta move on from around him with my baby girl. I had suspicions before but now they are clear. He didn't even want to get me pregnant, the whole time we been split up from our friends and family. Me and James argued a lot my whole pregnancy. I even cried to myself and to sleep at night. I wanted my friends so bad but didn't have they numbers. Me and Reign know our worth and what really happened. When he gave me those bouquet of flowers in the Bahamas I threw them away because I didn't want no damn flowers I didn't want anything from him but my damn baby. I was in deep thought when Tay called me.

"Hello."

"What's up beautiful what you and little lady bug doing?" She always asking about Reign.

"Umm nothing and she's sleeping."

"Cute little lady bug, y'all want to come get some Ice cream with me today?"

"Sure I have to get Reign ready to go."

"I'll pick y'all up text me the addy."

"I'll just have my friend to drop us off to the ice cream place. What's the name of it?"

"Taste the rainbow. On Main Street."

"Okay I got it." We gotten off the phone.

I woke my princess up and laid her on the bed. I got her bucket from the hospital and put luke warm water in it from the bathroom. I made sure that she was placed in the middle of the bed before doing so. I picked her back up, to lay her dry towel down then laid her on top of it and washed her up. I took off her diaper and threw it away into her Cookie Monster diaper garbage can. I blew on her tummy to make her laugh and she did showing me her dimples on both sides of her cheeks. She started to look more like me but still have her dad's features. I put on a new diaper and some brand new pink socks. I brushed her hair with her baby hair brush then I lotion her body with Johnson & Johnson. I took out her pink shorts overalls to put on her. Then I put on her short white onesie then her overalls. I put on her white air forces. My baby was dressed looking pretty. Riah was coming downstairs to the room when I put her bib on. Riah came over to pick her up.

"Look at TeeTee fat butt." Reign just was smiling and drooling everywhere.

"Here Riah wipe her drool up with this towel." I gave her a pink baby burping towel. I was making her bottles to put into her diaper bag. I handed Riah a bottle to feed her. And she did. She sat down in the rocking chair to feed her.

"You ready for your date Mommy." Riah asked me.

"Umm we just going to go get ice cream Riah."

"So still a date Ms.Ma'am."

"I guess so."

"Why are you giving me the cold shoulder Rach? What's wrong babes?"

"It's some things y'all don't know about James but I keep my mouth closed around y'all." I started to tear up.

"What's wrong Rachel? This my house if you want him gone then so be it, because you were here first and you're my best friend. What he has hit you before?" Jessica had came into the room when Riah said hit. This girl always on que.
