Into the Light or be Captured By the Dark(Seto x Reader)

Chapter 9

(Seto's POV)

What I saw wasn't the Budder Castle it (I'm not sure how to explain it so imagine the castle and garden and stuff from Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The part with the dwarf things with one big foot). I walked toward the doors as they were closing, I'm guessing where Adam had entered. I saw his back as he turned down hallways and I followed trying to catch up. As I finally reached Adam we stood in a library, just like where he said he was going.

I accidentally kicked a book that was on the floor and Adam quickly whirled around and looked at me in bewilderment.

"What the hell are you doing here!?" He asked alittle panicked.

"You said you were going to the library and I wanted to join you!" I said quickly." Besides, what's this place anyways?"

Adam rubbed his head and took a deep breath before answering.

"It's a hidden world. My grandfather had the portal put in after The Great War. This place is supposed to be a second home if anything happened to the Budder Castle. Over time it was forgotten about. I discovered it after Alesa and them disappeared. It has a lot of interesting stuff here and-"

Adam was cut of as a book across the library began to glow, a purple light illuminated from its pages. I ran to the book and opened it quickly, trying to find the page that was the source of the strange glow. I finally found it and it surprised me. On the page was a mirror frame, discolored from age. In the frame it showed a castle, Herobrine's castle. Why is it showing this? The image slowly faded and an image of a locket appeared. A purple glow, just like my magic, illuminated from it and it grew brighter by the second. Someone picked up the locket but then the image changed again before I could tell or see more. I appeared! I was crumpled to my knees, holding my head and laughing hysterically. The image faded once again but this time words were in its place.

"Love is your Savior?" I read out loud.

Adam, who was standing beside me, was puzzled as well.

"I don't know. Maybe it has something about it in the other books." Adam says as he walks to one of the shelves." I remember reading something similar to that but I can't remember what I did with the book."

We began searching. After a few hours and no prevail we were ready to give up. I was looking through some books at a table while Adam was going to get more books to look through. As Adam grabbed a book off of a shelf he wasn't paying attention and pulled half a dozen books off the shelf and onto the floor. They laid skattered, some open, some closed and some even standing up. As Adam reached to pick up a book a look of recognition crossed his face. He grabbed a book that was half open and standing up and brought it to the table.

"This is it." He said as he began flipping through the pages. He found the page and began reading from it. "Love can save you. The following is rare but not impossible, someone who went insane but was brought back by thoughts of the people he loved and cared for. If a person means that much to them they will be in their thoughts frequently when corrupted. When the thoughts are strong enough they can over power the dark and he will become sane again. This, though, doesn't last for long, for the darkness is never completely defeated but only pushed back and shrunken. Over time the darkness grows, depending on the strength of a person, the darkness can only grow so fast. There is a cure for this, thoughts were able to defeat it once but that's not enough now. The actual person is the only one strong enough to defeat the darkness and once the darkness gets ahold of them again it won't let go for anything...."

Adam trailed off before he sat the book down. I stared at the pages in horror. I'm not here for long it seems and the only thing that can stop it is a person I really love. I'm screwed.... I mean I love the guys and all but I'm pretty sure the book was talking about a girl so true love. I can't remember anything to even know if I'm inlove with anyone.

"Let's just get back. We've found enough for today." I said as I stood up and walked to the portal.

I walked numbly down the twisting halls lost in thought. I walked through the portal, ignoring the look Adam gave me as the Mercury slowly crawled over my body. Only when we were both through the portal did he stop me.

"Seto... Why was it different for you than it is for me?" Adam asked.

I shook my head slightly, bringing myself out of my thoughts and looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"Frost. That's how the portal reacted to me. For you it reacted with Mercury."

"I don't know. I guess we can search it tomorrow." I said as I turned and walked back to my room.
