Lightbulb and The Wizard Of Wonder-Ville [An Inanimate Insanity x BFDI Fanfic]

Lightbulb opened her eyes slowly but steadily, letting out a tiny groan. She looked at her surroundings to see herself lying on a small bed and having a white curtain in front of her. Was this it? Was she really home? She tried to sit up but was quickly hit with a wave of dizziness and laid back down. Baxter noticed her and crawled up to face her as well. "..Hey," She said with a confused face. "Are we...?" She looked out the door and heard someone come in through the door. She wasn't sure who it was so she decided to call out. "Hello?" The other object noticed this and pulled back the curtain to see her. It was Test Tube. The same Test Tube from her world. This was when Lightbulb found out that she was inside her lab. "Lightbulb? You're finally up!" She exclaimed. "Uh.. yeah! I am!" She said, trying to sit up again. Test Tube noticed this and helped her carefully sit up. "Hold on there, I'll get the others and also something for you to drink." She told her, quickly running out to alert her friends. Lightbulb grabbed the nearby mirror on a table, and that's when she saw her head wrapped in bandages, in the exact place where she got hit with the garage window when the tornado struck.

After a few minutes, Test Tube came back with a bottle of water for Lightbulb. Paintbrush, Fan, Yin and Yang also came back to see their friend. Yin was also seen holding a piece of paper in his one hand, as well as a small box in the other. "Well, here she is!" Test Tube told them. Paintbrush took the water bottle, quickly ran up to her and hugged her. "Oh thank god!! We thought you were never gonna get up!" They exclaimed. Lightbulb hugged them back. "Well, I'm here now, so be glad about that and don't be upset!" She said. Paintbrush gave her the water bottle and let her take a few sips.
"So, why am I here and what happened?" Lightbulb asked. "Basically after the tornado was over, we went out to go look for you, and that's when Yin found Baxter on the grass who apparently pointed him to the garage. So he opened the garage door and saw you right there on the ground. Out cold and with a large chunk of your head broken. The window from the garage knocked you out. So we picked you up and brought you here. How long has it been again?" Test Tube explained and asked. "Like 3 days ago, I think." Fan replied. Lightbulb looked surprised. "Huh, 3 days? Our trip to the Emerald Hotel only felt like a few hours!" Lightbulb told them, but more so to Baxter. The others looked a bit confused as well. "What do you mean by trip..?" Yang asked. Lightbulb then decided to explain.

"Well. I can't really tell if it was a dream or not, but basically, I traveled to that fantasy place that I showed you in my drawings! Wonder-Ville! We saw Soap the good witch, Yin and Yang who were the bad ones, and we walked down the Yellow Glitter Road to see Painty, Test Tube and Fan as my characters who all wanted the same things I told you they wanted! But then I got captured by Yang and his weird raccoon things, and Yin turned out to be nice and helped me and you guys out! Then we traveled to the emerald hotel, had the great and powerful MePhone grant our wishes, and Soap eventually helped us home. It all felt so real!!" Lightbulb thoroughly explained. "Woah, well that must have been crazy." Fan told her. Lightbulb nodded. "Yeah, even though there were some creepy and sad parts, it still ended happy! Now I'm back here seeing you guys again, and that's all that matters to me :)." She said. Paintbrush laughed a bit.

"Yeah, but at the same time, Lightbulb, we are sorry for driving you away and resulting in you getting hurt like that. Mostly Yin and Yang. We really did think your fantasy was great! But I guess we didn't elaborate that enough." Paintbrush apologized. Lightbulb then stopped them. "Well, I'm also sorry for getting mad and running away without telling you guys. When I was at Goiky though, Pin did tell me that a few hurtful words don't mean that everyone else hates it. And I guess she was right." Lightbulb also said. Yin walked up to Lightbulb still holding that somewhat big piece of paper. "And for me, while we were taking shelter from the tornado, I also started to feel bad for what I said to you, so me and Yang drew this for you! Paintbrush also helped us out." Yin turned the paper around and Lightbulb was shocked.

It was a fully drawn out version of Lightbulb's story. Same designs she drew, same colors, tones, everything! It even had a painted text at the bottom saying: "No Place Like Home" and Lightbulb immediately knew it was Yin's handwriting. "And also, just yesterday, me and Yin made a quick run to the shop and got these too." Paintbrush told her. She took the box, opened it, and inside the box was a pair of, technically not heels, but sparkly red platform *boots* with big red bows on them. She then looked up at Paintbrush, Yin and Yang. "We were gonna get heels but we couldn't find any, it was the best we could do." Yang told her. Yin then stood to her again. "Yeah, but regardless of that, Lightbulb, I'm really, really sorry about my attitude that day as well. Looking back now, it does seem like a fun concept! Yang also kinda thinks otherwise too, Right?" Yin apologized and also asked, glancing at Yang directly. "Yeah.. heh." Yang said awkwardly since he's not the best at apologizing. Lightbulb then smiled at them, gaining a positive reaction to her gifts.

"Omga aww! This is so sweet! I love it!!" She exclaimed happily while rocking her legs around. "So.. does that mean you'll forgive us?" Yin asked. Lightbulb quickly nodded, "Of course I will!!" and got up to give her partner a hug. Yin smiled and hugged her back. Lightbulb was now truly happy to be back home. Test Tube and Fan noticed this and quickly joined along. Yang just stared at them until Paintbrush dragged him into the now group hug. They kept like that for a few seconds until they eventually broke it off. Lightbulb then went to try her new pair of boots on. "These really do remind me of the ones I wore in my dream, they're so rad!" She exclaimed, putting her boots on and walking back to her friends.

"Alright, now that we have everything resolved. How about we go do something together as a group?" Fan recommended. "Huh, that doesn't sound too bad!" Test Tube replied. "But first, we should probably get back up to the surface." She ran to the door nearby and told the others to follow along, which they all did. Lightbulb also took Baxter with them to see what they could do.

In the end, they decided to get Ice Cream and snacks and also watch a show that Lightbulb picked in Paintbrush and Fan's room. Paintbrush looked at Lightbulb[who also currently has Baxter sitting on her head] "Sure is nice to be back home.. huh?" They asked. "Yeah. It really is. Plus, while it is kind of off to say, but just like how Dorothy said at the end of the movie: There's really no place like home." Lightbulb told them. Paintbrush [along with Yin] laughed as they continued to watch the current episode playing. Sharing a few more laughs.

MINI BONUS PART FOR FUN!! [Before Lightbulb woke up]:

Back at Purgatory Mansion a few hours after the Tornado finished, Bow, Apple, and Marshmallow (and additionally Dough) were watching the movie Mean Girls on the TV. But that was until Apple had a weird feeling in her stomach.
"Hey guys?" She asked, the others looked at her in confusion. "Is it just me or does it feel like I'm being included in someone's dream?" "Huh, now that you mention it I think I am as well." Marshmallow replied. But Bow wasn't feeling it as much as they were.
"Eh, that feeling is probably something that usually pops up, just try and ignore it." She explained. Marsh shrugged her shoulders and continued to watch the movie. Apple was still uncertain but still followed along with them.
