"CEDAR IT'S THE END OF THE LINE!" Colin exclaims to the radio.
"Aw shit.." Cedar replies in.
Sunset was about to start in, considering the fact the afternoon was already kicked off, and now the sun is starting to transition away.
The train is not necessarily stopping anytime yet, still averaging above 60+ MPH, it seems that fate will be the only option to go with for everyone..
Meanwhile at the populated area that's next to the refinery, civilians are starting to try and evacuate the area, considering that they were watching the news about the situation.
The authorities are panicking about the desirable situation, they know that they will be in a huge mess if the train does not stop and crash into the refinery.
Vector Research could be on the fire from this, all because of one simple mistake and a small moment of negligence.
But worst of all, environmental disaster would be worst out of all.
Colin is trying his best to get all of the railcars to have their brakes activated, which while is giving some effort, doesn't mean much to the consists.
The VRD vehicles are taking turns by having someone clinging outside, but to no avail due to the signals and other things near the tracks.
AVRA&M is not having it back in HQ, with the crew panicking, and considering that the track is basically a one-way dead end, there's no escaping out of trouble from this.
Back to where Cedar is, he is panicking too, considering that because he is within the train, he would be pretty much dead from the effort being attempted.
But then eventually.. the sign of the populated area gives an unfriendly welcome to the authorities and the VRD, oh no..
"SHIT ITS THE END OF THE LINE!" One of the soldiers exclaim.
"DAMNIT! I thought we would already be done with this! Not get it worse!"
"At this point, if they enter the refinery, fucking turn back and accelerate out! We are NOT dying today!"
And then to HQ..
"I thought the area already evacuated the people out!?"
"They didn't! They're pretty much neglecting at the last minute!"
And soon, the train starts bustling through the crossings non-stop, no sign to stop at this moment.
Colin keeps trying, but the speed doesn't even go down quickly.
At this rate, disaster is awaiting...
But with a negative.. comes a positive..
*Sudden sound of a truck revving out*
Cedar suddenly gets an unknown frequency in his radio.
"CEDAR! HOP OUT OF THE TRAIN!"
"Who the hell is this?"
"You'll recognize me once you jump out!"
Cedar tries to get up, almost falling but still strong nonetheless, then he opens the cab door, seeing a truck driving nearby with the road.
Cedar tries to carefully look on the truck's windows, but he doesn't waste anytime.
"Jump to the truck Cedar, Jump!"
Cedar, at first hesitates, because he knows not to jump for a reason, but considering that the truck suddenly came close to the tracks, he decided to trust the leap of faith.
