"Did you guys..." Matt trails. With a shake of Bella's head, his shoulders relax. "That's good. I mean, do you but don't." He says. "I'm not ready to be an uncle. Okay?"
Was he not just hooking up with some girl?
Bella nods, "mhm, got it." As Matt walks away triumphantly Bella looks at me. "I would go before he tells everyone."
I nod, dropping my head to leave a kiss on her head. "Bye Bella." Pink taints her cheeks as she replies, "bye Leonardo."

"Leonardo where have you been?" Mom asks when I open the door. "Neighbors place." I shrug.
"With that girl?"
"Bella? Yeah." Mom gives me a pointed look, "you better be treating her right."
"Oh he is, trust me. I've taught him everything." Elsie says. Mom nods, "do you truly like her Leo? Can you truly stay with her?" I nod. Bella's perfect in every way. Every time I'm away, I'm wishing to be near her, to be holding her and to be talking to her.
"I want nothing more than for you to be happy Leo, but you have to promise me that she won't be like the last girls." I know what she means by 'last girls' and Bella's the farthest thing from that.
"She's not." I say. "She's so much more than that."
Mom smiles, "you do know that you'll have to tell your father if you plan on being with her."
"I don't have to tell him shit. If he cared about my life he wouldn't have kicked us to the curb."
"He had his reasons honey, you know that." Mom sighs. Walking towards my room I grumble, "I'll tell him later."
