"Many happy returns."
season 02, episode 04

"Everyone, eyes peeled. We're in Grounder territory." Bellamy warned the group as they ran through the trees. Berlin was tired and Murphy seemed to agree.

Murphy stopped running and took deep breaths as he spoke up. "Everything is Grounder territory. I can't keep running, all right? We don't even know if the guy Finn killed was telling the truth."

Finn walked up to Murphy, grabbing his jacket and dragging him forward. "Keep moving."

"We can give him a minute." Bellamy told Finn with a small nod of his head. He put a hand towards Finn's chest to stop him.

"No, we can't. You heard what that Grounder said. 'They'll outlive their usefulness.'" Finn told Bellamy.

"We heard what he said when you had a gun to his head and then shot him." Berlin snapped from behind the two. Berlin was tired of letting people talk to her the way Finn did and even if he was her friend, he just shot someone in cold blood and she wasn't okay with that.

Finn turned around to look at her. "Look, you think I wanted to do that? He would have told his people we're coming and by the time we got there, our people would be dead. Maybe that's something you can live with but I can't!" Finn stepped forward but Bellamy grabbed him and stopped him.

"Hey, you did what you thought you had to do but you are not yourself right now and I can't be out here with another loose cannon." Bellamy told him as Berlin sighed deeply.

"Guys." Monroe spoke up as a buzzing sound was heard. They turned around to see bodies, lying on the ground with flies swarming around.

"Fall in." Bellamy shuddered as the group slowly made their way forward.

"Where the hell did they come from?" Murphy asked as he looked down at all the people.

"From the Ark." Berlin whispered, she felt sick looking at this. The group kept walking forward until they stopped at some kind of cliff. Down below them was part of the ark, completely destroyed and blown up, it looked like.

"It's a rough landing." Murphy swiped his thumb against his lips as they all looked down.

"There's nothing we can do for these people." Bellamy spoke up as he and Finn got ready to head back out east, "We got to go."

A woman's whimpering was heard making them all stop. "Did you hear that?" Murphy asked as he walked closer to the edge of the cliff, looking down.

"Hey. Hey, someone's down there." Monroe spoke as the group walked forward to look down. A girl was gripping onto some kind of tree branch a little bit down the cliff.

"Hey! Up here!" Bellamy shouted towards the girl.

"Please, help me!" The girl cried from below them.

"Mel?" Sterling shouted as he looked down at her.

"You know her?" Murphy asked as he raised his eyebrows at him.

"Shut up, Murphy. She's my friend. We have to do something." Sterling said as he looked around.

"Help me! Sterling, please!" Mel begged him as she looked up at all of them.
