"𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲"
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 new development in the group. Kiki's girlfriend Tory had contracted the virus. She was immediately put into Block A with the other patients. Kiki herself was of course upset, it had taken her so much bravery to find love in the midst of the end of the world and now that person is on the verge of death. She was on a small visit with her right now, practically reverting back to her childhood with praying for the life of her girlfriend. The three of her friends were all worrying for her, even though they didn't know Tory as well, they still cared. And that is true friendship. They knew that they would be there for Kiki if anything were to happen just like she was there for them in their darkest hours. Especially Letty, their bond was unbreakable, it was everything I ever dreamed of in a friendship, they were probably more closer than her own sisters. They loved each other so much.
Paige was laid asleep in my arms after I can just given her some food. I felt bad because the last few days I hadn't been with her as much, I'd been smiling and laughing and crying with Carl. Man, I loved being a big sister. Whether it's half or fully, I still loved it. I'd always wanted a little sister, growing up with two older brothers was always a handful and pain in the ass. Whether she as Shane or Pops', I didn't care, we had the same mother and that was all that mattered. She was such an innocent thing in this world, her and Judith. There weren't going to have the same upbringing that we had, but it's just the way the world works now. "Hey Jadey." Zak appears. "She asleep?" "Yep." I nod. "She falls asleep so easily now." "Compared to what you were like." he teases. "What?" I frown. "You were murder to try and get down for a nap." he comments. "Well... maybe I didn't want to sleep." I argue softly. "It was all right for you!" he chuckles. "But for me and Roy while mum and dad were at work, it was horrible." "You lived, didn't you?" I grin.
"I suppose." he shrugs. We fall into a silence as I slowly rock Paige. "I miss Roy." Zak looks down at me, "I do, too, Jay. But it was his decision to stay in the CDC." "He was a coward." I blurt out without even thinking about who I was with. "Don't say that." he orders. "He didn't even try, Zak. He just stayed there, he didn't care about how pops or ma would feel, he just... went out selfishly." "It was his choice." he states. "At least mum and dad are with him now." "Yeah... they died for us at least." I murmur. "It'd be better if they hadn't." he remarks. I keep silent as he eyes up my bow. "What are those marks on your bow?" He approaches and picks the wooden weapon. "'R.B.M', 'S.P', 'R.M', 'J.C.M', 'L.G', 'T.D', what do they all mean?" "Roy Brandon Moon... Sophia Peletier... Ricky Moon... Julia Cilla Moon... Lori Grimes... Theodore Douglas." I list. "The names of people that died and I loved. I hope I don't have to add anymore."
