"A bonding trip?" Bill asked skeptically. Jasmine and Ida didn't get along, so to hear that the two were leaving for a week to bond was suspicious, at best.

Ida nodded quickly, but kept her sweet smile. “Yea, we decided that we had to get along a lot better than we do, so- uh- y’know, spontaneous bonding trip!” She urged, glancing at Jasmine to see how she was holding up.

Jasmine simply nodded, afraid to say anything that would mess the plan up. She gave a forced, crooked grin, looking slightly down at Bill. She always thought it was strange how much taller she was than most people, especially considering she was always this height no matter what form she took.

“It'll only be for a week and Ida banned me from taking anything that I can use to kill people, so literally anything,” Jasmine said, nervously looking at Bill.

Bill hummed in thought, his eye fixed on Jasmine. “Maybe I should send Lizzy with you both-”

“No!”

The silence was deafening as the two stared at Ida. The girl flushed at her panicked outburst. “I- what I meant- sorry, volume control is- ah- it's difficult.” She cleared her throat. “We wanted it to just be us two. We thought it would be more- personal.” She mumbled her last word. Ida seemed very interested in the wooden floor planks.

Jasmine fidgeted. “Please?” She asked. For once, her voice was soft, sounding almost like a little kid— almost. Then the sign of weakness was gone.

Bill sighed. “Fine then. But be safe, alright?” He said. Ida nodded and smiled. Bill gave the ghost a small peck on the head.

Ida looked at Jasmine and nodded. “Alright, I'll go get my shoes, you grab some snacks.” With that, Ida rushed off.

Jasmine sighed in relief, sitting down to wait, ignoring, or at least pretending to— the ghosts that appeared around her. She didn't remember her half-brother at all, considering she was in the Mindscape till William was born. Eugene, however, was different. She vaguely remembered that he knew sign language, since the Greene’s mother was deaf. Jasmine knew it as well, a side effect of multiple different things was she automatically knew several languages.

Jasmine sighed, pushing her mind to remember the proper signs. ‘We have a week to do this thing. If this takes any longer, me and Ida will have to leave, otherwise they'll get suspicious.’ Eugene nodded, then turned to Terrence and translated.

Ida went up to her room and grabbed her shoes. She glanced at the window to the treeline and sighed. A part of her wondered what she was thinking. There was no way in heaven or hell they could do this.

Eugene sighed softly. “So, how are we gonna get to the future? None of us have time travel abilities, I don't think.”

“Well,” a cool - almost chilling - voice said, getting the ghosts’ voices. “Since the 80s, I’ve been wandering about the town. I’ve seen some odd things- things that could be very useful. So, I saw something quite interesting…”

Terrence looked over and smiled politely. “You must be Ida’s friend, Coby Reens.” Eugene looked to where the voice had come from as well. Before them stood a boy who seemed to be thirteen going on fourteen, with dusty blond hair, light brown skin, gray eyes, and a large light mark on his forehead that the two assumed was vitiligo.

Eugene waved. “You saw something interesting? What was it?” He asked curiously.

“Time travel. These two kids, Mabel and Dipper Pines. They’ve done it before.” Coby said. He picked at his dark shirt’s sleeve. “It’s possible, and I believe that they have a favor due from a time traveler. We need to get to them, and lucky us, they’re still here for their second summer here.”
