Title Name - Until We Meet Again

It was the pause between scenes, where Tara stood by a concession stand. And her partner, Y/n, stood next to her. They both spotted a box of old candy and reached for it at the same time. Their fingers bump into one another but before Tara could pull her hand away, Y/n grabs it and pulls the girl closer.

Tara smiled up at the woman before she snakes her arms around Y/n's shoulders.

'Hi,' She greets.

Y/n looks at Tara with a confused look on her face before she chuckles.

'Goofy ass,' she mumbles and then reaches behind Tara.

That's when she turns and notices that Y/n was just grabbing for the box. Tara's jaw dropped and she turned back around.

'You jerk!' She exclaimed then smacked Y/n's shoulder.

Y/n flinched away with a laugh. 'I'm sorry babe! I didn't want you to eat something rotten.'

Tara just pulled from the woman's arms but Y/n didn't let her go far. She grabs Tara by the waist and pulls her in. Their faces are only a few inches apart. And then, Tara leans in the rest of the way and kisses Y/n.

Maybe if Tara knew this would be their last kiss together, she'd have kissed harder.

"Tara."

The girl snapped out of her thoughts as she looked around the area and realized she was in a vehicle. Tara turned her head and saw her sister next to her in the driver's seat.

"Yeah?"

"We're here."

Tara looked out her window and then it hit her. She was here to meet someone.

"Oh, where are the flowers?"

Tara was looking around her lap that she didn't see Sam smile at her sympathetically. The older sister reached into the back seat and then grabbed the bouquet of flowers that were wrapped in some brown paper wrapping and tied with a thin rope string.

Tara hugged them to her chest and then looked at her sister.

"Tell her I said hi."

"I will. I'll see you in a few hours."

Sam gave a nod, and then Tara turned to open the door. But before she could get out a song popped on the radio. She stopped to look at it before reaching over to turn it up.

"I wish I could still touch you again,

I wish I could still call you a friend,

I'd give anything..."

With a smile, Tara slipped her sunglasses over her eyes and then left the car without another word.

'The absolute irony.' She thought to herself.

With the car door shut, Tara shifted the flowers in her arms so they rested comfortably and then started to walk along a concrete path. She heard the car drive away but kept walking.
