Title Name: Clarity (pt2)

After Ellie moved to Florida at the age of 15, she worked tirelessly getting her a position as a film producer. By the age of 18 she was well on her way directing and producing an A list trilogy.

At age 19, Ethan and Y/n came into her life. Ellie met Y/n at an awards show in LA by chance. It was also the same place she met her now baby daddy. While Y/n became a friend, that sorry excuse of a man became more. Ellie stayed with him for the sake of their first born. Then four years later, down the road, she had her son. After he was born, Ethan up and left.

She had Harley at 20, and Skyler at 24. She's now 26.

During all of this chaos, Ellie finished the trilogy project as well as picking up a few other movies along the way. Currently she's working on a personal project in hopes to get it up and running within the next year.

"Thank you for staying and helping me." Whispered Ellie.

Y/n had a 8 year old girl draped over her shoulder as Ellie opened the little girls bedroom door for her. Her head turned to the side so she could look at her friend.

"You say that like I'd rather be somewhere else."

Ellie just scoffs and enters the room with Y/n close behind.

The both of them put Harley to bed and then tucked her in. Each taking a turn to kiss her on the forehead. Y/n was the last to do so, which gave Ellie a few seconds of silence to watch the scene unfold. When Y/n goes to pull away, however, Harley turns onto her side and wraps her arms around the woman's neck just to pull her back down.

"Please don't leave." Harley mumbles in her sleep.

Y/n glances up to meet Ellie's gaze, who was fighting back tears.

She could break from the hug or she could play this right. So, Y/n decided to play it right and wrap the girl up in a hug.

"I would never do that to you, Sweet pea. When you wake up I'll be here."

Harley was half awake, clinging to Y/n like her life depended on it. And it broke the woman's heart all over again. This little girl just wanted a second parent that wouldn't cause so much damage emotionally. Ellie could understand this wholeheartedly.

Eventually the little girl pulled away and opened her eyes to look up at Y/n. Who got down onto her knees near the side of the bed as she held Harley's right hand in between both of her own. And there they had a conversation, a quiet one.

"Tomorrow is Saturday. Which means I'm off work."

"Yeah?" Harley asked hopefully, her little voice soft and riddled with sleep.

Y/n nodded slowly, "mhm. So where would you like to go?"

"I dun know."

Ellie wanted to stand there and enjoy the rest of the conversation but her doorbell rang.

Y/n glanced up at her but Ellie was looking at the clock on Harley's wall. It was almost 11:30. With a confused expression, Ellie excused herself to go check it out.

She was half way down the stairs when the doorbell rang again. This time in quick succession.

"Alright asshole! Lay off the doorbell, I have kids sleep-...." Ellie pulled the door open in slight anger only for her words to die off upon who it was that was behind it. "....ing."
