I had been living with my new family for almost two months now, and I could tell I was a lot happier. They were a nice couple from Europe, that had quite a bit of money, and no children. Both were wedding planners, which I thought was super romantic, even if they weren't married. Gay marriage was still illegal in South Carolina, but I was super supportive of my foster mothers anyways.

I had began calling both of my foster parents mom, because they were the ones taking care of me currently, and just because I called them mom, doesn't mean I forgot about my actual mother.

"Bartley, can you come here please?" My foster mother called from downstairs, I got a strange sense of deja vu, but ignored it and obeyed.

"Ya, Mom?" I had opened up here quite a but, despite my shyness. These women were so nice, I couldn't help but talk to them.

"I got you a phone. We need to keep up, and since you're finally out on summer break, I also think it's about time you go to the DMV and get your licence. You're seventeen, and graduating next year, you go get em boy!" She patted my back and waved me back off up the stairs after handing me my new phone.

"Thank you!" I shouted once I reached the top. I ran to my room to go personalize my first phone, something I've always wanted to own.

The first thing I did was download the top five apps in the App Store. Three being Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I started accounts for all of them. Taking a picture and making it my icon for all of them. Now some might think it's brave to choose the "take picture" button instead of the "choose from camera roll" option, but I didn't have a choice. I had no other pictures of me!

I went to my contacts and noticed both of my mothers numbers were already saved, and smiled to myself.

I was so lucky.

On twitter I started out by following celeberties I knew of, so I could keep up with the 411. I never really understood kids my age. I never had any friends to understand.

I opened safari next, looking at the local dmv website and signing up for online training. Which was three weeks long...ugh.

While I was at it, I applied for jobs in the area, including Starbucks, it was money.

I was unsure of what to put under the "experience" column, so I just put down all the volunteer work I had done during high school.

After being distracted for more than two hours, I lock my phone and throw it on my bed. I let my mind drift to other places and I realize I should probably get my chores done before I receive another lecture from one of my moms. I start by taking all of the trash cans out to the curb before moving on to the kitchen. Most of it was already clean. There were no dirty dishes in the sink, and the only thing needed to be done was the emptying of the dish washer. I finished that before wiping down the granite tops and the island, then moving on to finish the rest if the house work that needed to be done for the day.

I was tired by the time I was finished, so I made my way back to my room to retrieve my phone-I was already addicted. I passed time by creating an iTunes account and listening to the U2 album it came with. I wasn't fond of the music provided so, I downloaded an mp3 music app to have my own music, without having to pay for it.

My phone vibrated in my hands, and I was unsure of what it was until I was notified I had a text from one of my mothers.

We are going to dinner tonight, special occasion. Dress nice.
Xx Mom

I didn't reply to the text, and started getting ready for tonight's events. I chose a white button up shirt with dark navy blue khakis. I was still un satisfied with my appearance. I never really cared about my looks when I was with my actual mom, but now I have everything I need to actually look nice, so , I started to care. I wouldn't go out if my shirt was not ironed, and I would definitely never go in public without clean socks. I noticed that I have changed. I liked that. I like knowing that I can care about myself and my appearance. It was nice.

I quickly was made aware that I had been staring in the mirror a little bit too long, and that I would be late if I didn't hurry up, so I grabbed my hair gel and styled it upwards until it was in a quiff.

Grabbing my phone, now a necessity, I checked the time. I didn't know what time we were going to dinner so I just waited it out until a car horn was heard outside.

"So moms, what's the special occasion you decided to take us to our favorite Resturant?" Asked just after the waiter left with our order.

"We are all going to go on a...vacation." Valarie, one of my moms replied.

"Oh my gosh really, where?" I said, immediately getting excited.

"On this 'vacation' you are going to be very well mannered, and appropriate. There will be tons of rules. You will stay where you are told and be very respectful. Our jobs will be at risk if you are not." Valerie said, very seriously.

"I can handle rules! I promise now where are we going on this, basically, business trip?" I sounded like a five year old but I was eager to know.

"Your mother and I have been hired to plan the royal wedding. We are going to London, England."
