Monday - Thanksgiving Break

EDANN'S POV

I wake up and check the time. It's 8:30 am. I wonder if I can quickly get something for all of us to eat.

I slowly leave the bed and see that I accidentally pulled the blankets off Olivia. I walk to the right. side of the bed and place the blanket around her. I smile. She's so sweet.

I drag myself to the bathroom to get ready. After 15 minutes, I'm ready to leave. I get my phone and AirPods then walk out of the room. I slowly close the door, trying to make as little noise as possible.

I decide to get some McDonald's for everyone. It's about one mile away. I enter the garage and grab one of the bikes I see. I hope Nathan doesn't mind. I get on the driveway and close the garage. I head out on the road while listening to "0X1=LOVESONG" by TXT.

About ten minutes later, I get to the local McDonald's. I strap Nathan's bike to a pole and walk inside.

There isn't any line, so I approach the employee and order.

"Hi. May I have two hotcake meals with bacon and two McMuffins, please?"

"Of course! Will that be it?" asked the cashier.

"Yes, thank you."

"Ok, great! That will be 22.86."

I pay in cash, step off to the side, and wait. A few moments later, I hear them call out my order number.

"Two hotcake meals with bacon and two McMuffins. Enjoy your food!"

"Thank you. You too." I cringe. I didn't mean to say that. It's too late to change that now.

I grab the food and push a pull door. Whoops. I open the door for real and put the food in the bike basket, take the lock off, hop on, and start to ride home.

HANA'S POV

I wake up with confusion from the rays of the sun shining through the window. I check my phone. It's 9:15 in the morning. Why am I so confused? I check what I was last doing on my phone. I see that I was last reading on Wattpad. I must've fallen asleep while reading "Arranged [Seungjin/Hyunmin]." How embarrassing.

I get up and walk into the bathroom. I look in the mirror. Gee, I look like a mess. I do my business and step out of the bathroom. I head to the living room and straighten up the living room couch too. I realize Nathan had forgotten to get me a blanket.

I hear my stomach grumble. I didn't eat dinner last night, so I'm hungry. I hope they all wake up soon.

Just then, I hear them all walk out of their bedroom simultaneously.

"Edann texted me that he's getting breakfast for all of us and he'll be back by 9:30," Olivia yawns.

"Alright, tell him thanks," I say.

Just about 10 minutes later, at 9:27, Edann walks through the door. "Hey, I'm back. I got you all some McDonald's."

Edann starts handing out the food. "One McMuffin for Tiffany... One McMuffin for Olivia... One hotcake meal for Nathan... And One Hotcake meal for me. That's everyone.I stare at Edann. Did he just forget about me? "Hey... sorry to ask, but... d-did you by chance forget something?

"Oh shit. I did. I forgot to get a McFlurry for Olivia. Hey, Olivia-sorry I forgot your Oreo McFlurry."

"It's okay. I forgive you, Edann. You bought us breakfast anyway. What more can I ask for?" Olivia smiles.

"Edann, you forgot about me. Didn't you remember I'm here too?" I say slightly irritated.

"Oh yeah. You. Sorry, Hana. I promise to make it up to you. Why are you so grumpy anyway?" Edann says.

I don't reply. I frown and walk away. If someone got food for everyone except you, how would you feel?

I flop down on the couch and think to myself... If Edann cares for Olivia so much... how can I make him do the same for me? I just thought... maybe I could be cared for by someone for a change...

Just then, I remember I recommended Goodbye Hailey for a reason last night. Maybe, just maybe, I can make Edann think Olivia's hiding something.

No. That's too harsh. That's not the right mindset. Maybe I'm just being overdramatic. I'll let it go this time.

"Hey. We should all go shopping at the mall!" says Nathan with his mouth full.

"Nathan... stop talking with your mouth full of food. It's disgusting," says Tiffany.

"Are you talking Tiffany? You do it all the time..." Nathan replies.

"Okay, you got me there, but yeah, let's all go to the mall. Vámonos!"

"Hold your horses, Tiff. We haven't figured out what mall to go to yet."

"How about Glassbrick Mall?" Olivia asks.

"Yeah. I'm down," Nathan replies.

"Sure. We can go there," Edann says.

"I don't care where we go. As long as I'm with Nathan, that's fine by me," Tiffany says.

"Yeah. I'm fine with whatever," I reply.

We all get ready for a trip to the mall.

"Alright. Is taking an Uber fine with you guys?" asks Edann.

All of us say that we're fine with an Uber, so Edann calls an Uber to take us to Glassbrick.The Uber arrives 8 minutes later. The car looks like a gray Toyota Mini Van and is driven by a guy in his twenties.

"Nathan and I are going to sit in the middle row. Olivia and Edann can sit in the back. And- err- Hana... We kinda want our space, so you can sit in the back with Olivia and Edann," Tiffany tells us.

I sigh. "Fine," I mumble.

As the door opens, Edann and Olivia sit in the back seat. Edann takes the left side, and Olivia takes the right. Great. I have the middle seat. I squeeze into the third row and sit down. This is going to be a long ride.

After Nathan reclines the folded seat back into its original position, he sits down with Tiffany in the middle row.

"Alright, is everyone ready?" asks the driver.

We all say yes.

"Okay. TO THE MALL!"

The car leans forward and starts rumbling down the road.

"Olivia, remember that one CPN video you did? Like that one where you went like... 'STAAR TEST! YEAH! WHOO."

"Yes. I do. Why," Olivia replies.

"I thought that memory was hilarious. You're just not shy at all."

"Thanks. I can sing it again if you like."

"Yes, but I'm recording you."

"Okay, anything for you," Olivia says. "Three, two, one... STAAR TEST! YEAH! WOOH! LET'S GO! STAAR TEST IS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT! EVERYBODY GET MASTERS THIS TIME! GON' MAKE CHAVOYA LOSE HIS MIND! EVERYBODY LET'S PASS THIS TIME! STAAR TEST IS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT! EVERYBODY LET'S PASS THIS TIME! GON' MAKE CHAVOYA LOSE HIS MIND! We just wanna see you..."

"PASS THAT," everyone says beside me.

I am such an idiot. I really should have paid attention to those CNN videos or whatever they are called... CNN, CON, CPN... whatever it is," I think in my head.

I sit back and listen to the everyone singing Staar Anthem for the car ride. I just wish I could join in, but I can't.

After a while, everyone stops singing Staar Anthem- finally, that was fucking annoying- and gets back doing their things. I swear, any longer they would make my ears bleed.

"Olivia, you're good at singing. I could hear you sing all they with that voice of yours," Edann says with a flirtatious attitude.

"Why thank you so much, Edann," Olivia says catching on.

Olivia and Edann are walking on thin ice. One wrong step and I'm breaking the ice beneath them.

About half an hour later, we arrived at Glassbrick Mall. "Alright, Glassbrick Mall. Have a good one you all," says the driver.
