Todd was reluctant to speak to Neil all day. He couldn't have possibly been the only one who felt something the other day. But nothing could come of that something Todd felt for Neil, his family would shun him as would society. Although a small part of Todd knew that if Neil reciprocated his feelings he would take the shunning and all the hatred the world would have to offer, because at least then he would have Neil and that was all he needed. Nonetheless Neil does not reciprocate Todd's feelings, so he was forced to push that thought aside as it was merely a fictitious desire.
Catching sight of Neil across campus, Todd quickened his pace nearly tripping over himself. "NEIL, HEY WAIT UP!", yelped Todd
Neil twirled around to face Neil, his now renowned (in Todd's eyes) smirk spread across his face. "ANDERSON, just the man I wanted to see!", replied Neil grabbing Todd's hand taking him to an empty corridor away from the bustling crowd of students.
The corridor was incredibly still, all that could be heard was the boys footsteps. Neil and Todd finally settled into a corner, it was slightly cramped but neither of them minded the intimacy.
"Neil, why did you t-.." , began Todd before being interrupted by Neil
"SHHHHH", Neil put his index finger on top of Todd's mouth silencing him. A light blush spread across Todd's face causing Neil to promptly remove his finger. He then placed a piece of neatly folded paper into Todd's hand, a giddy smile sprawled across his face.
Todd began to unfold the paper, almost right away he knew what it was and he couldn't be more happy for the boy stood in front of him.
"Do you see that? I did it Anderson!!!", Neil squealed as quietly as he could
In Todd's hand there sat a crinkled paper, it was a cast list and neatly written beside Neil's name was Puck!
"Neil, that's amazing,", Todd replied seeing how Neil's entire face lit up when he said those three words, "I'm so proud of you!"
Neil swooped Todd into a tight warm embrace. The two of them stayed in this position for much longer than needed, they both found comfort in these moments with each other, but neither were brave enough to admit that. They detached somewhat away from each other, still with Todds arms wrapped around Neil's waist and Neils arms Todds shoulder. Their faces were close, intimidatingly so making Todd begin to flush. Todd could feel Neil's soft breathes on his cheek, looking down at his lips he could see he was about to say something.
"Todd I-..." began Neil with a nervous stutter before he was cut off
The bell blared throughout the corridor signifying the end of their privacy. The once empty hall now became loud and crowded, the boys quickly detached from each other their faces painted a delicate shade of pink.
