It had been a while since Oscar and Lando shared that kiss in Lando's Driver Room in Saudi Arabia. Oscar couldn't forget it. He knew he was in love with Lando and Lando loved him back.

It was now race day in Qatar. It was insanely hot. Oscar knew that he'd probably end up retiring the race. But he also knew he should get out there and try to race. He turned to Lando.

"Ready to race, Mi Amor?" Oscar smirked, taking Lando's hand.

"I'm ready, Bunny."

They sat in their cars after the formation lap. They were P10 and P9. Lights out, and away we go.

Oscar got to a blazing start, passing Lando up incredibly quick. P9 for Oscar. The air was hot. Very hot. Oscar sighed, his body trembling. He felt sick, but had to keep pushing. He watched drivers lose and regain control as they blacked out on high-G corners. Then, Lando brisked past Oscar, round the inside. They swapped places, back to their starting points. They raced with teamwork, surpassing the rest of the grid and ending up P2 and P3.

The race finished and they pulled into the pits. Lando struggled to leave his car, sitting on the halo for a couple moments. Oscar hadn't even left his car yet. He needed a breather, but was struggling. Lando got off his car, stumbling to his garage. Oscar finally left his car, feeling his arms slowly giving way to the weight of his body. He got out of his car.

Oscar noticed a commotion in Lando's garage. Then he saw something he didn't ever want to see. Lando was on the ground, unresponsive. He briskly walked to the garage.

"Fuck- Lan? Lan can you hear me?"

Oscar received no response from Lando.

"Lando?" Oscar was weak, but desperate.

He wrapped his arms around his teammate.

"Lando? Please!" Oscar's voice grew laboured and desperate.

Lando still remained unresponsive.

"Lando!" Tears ran down Oscar's face.

He held his teammate close and tight, desperate for a response from him, then Lando lifted his hand to Oscar's face. He was okay. Oscar took Lando's helmet off to help him breathe easier and unzipped his fireproof suit so he didn't overheat.

"Thank fucking God you're okay, Lan."

"Thanks, Bunny.." Lando's voice was quiet and weak.

Oscar still held his teammate close, Lando finally gaining the strength to clutch onto Oscar.

"Thank you for looking out for me, Oz." Lando whispered softly into Oscar's ear.

"Your welcome, my love." Oscar whispered back.

Oscar called Max Verstappen over to help Lando stand up. They helped him to the cooldown room and sat him on the floor. Oscar sat with him, pulling him close and helping him with things, like getting water. Oscar let Lando lean up against him. He found it comforting, for some reason.

Oscar pulled Lando in and kissed him. Lando seemed to like that, because he pulled Oscar incredibly close and held the kiss for a while. They both closed their eyes, and their grips on each other were tighter than before. Their breaths trembled in the silence of the cooldown room. Then they were called out to stand on the podiums. They let go of each other.

Oscar helped Lando get to the podiums, sitting him on the 2nd place podium. Oscar took his place on the 3rd place podium. He looked at the exhausted, pale Lando. He couldn't help but shed a couple tears. Oscar was so proud of Lando for continuing the race, even when he was slowly growing weaker due to heatstroke. They celebrated, then returned to the McLaren garage.

"Lan, are you sure you'll be okay? You need fluids."

"I'll be fine, Oz. Don't worry about me."

They were both in Lando's Driver Room. Oscar wanted to make sure he was going to be okay. He wrapped his arms around Lando's waist, hugging him tightly and nervously. Oscar felt Lando's body trembling and let go of him. He didn't want Lando to faint again.

Oscar walked to his Driver Room to get changed. He walked out, polo shirt clutched in his hand. He knocked on Lando's door, walking in after he was told he could. Oscar leaped onto Lando's back and hugged him from the back.

"How cute, Oz."

"Thanks. Anyways, how are you feeling?"

"I've got a banging headache. And my legs feel weak."

"Here, I have some painkillers with me, you look like you could do with a couple." Oscar offered.

"Thanks, Oz, I appreciate it."

Oscar took Lando's hand and brought him to his Driver Room.

"Here. Have as many as you need." Oscar handed Lando a pack of painkillers.

"Thanks, again, Oz." Lando smiled back.
