Oscar was at Lando's, they hung out a lot now, especially after what happened in Qatar. It was like they'd known each other for their whole lives, when really, they only knew each other because they were teammates. But they loved each other, they both knew it. They wanted to ask each other out, but they didn't know if the other was ready.

Lando looked as Oscar. He'd fallen asleep on his lap and looked incredibly comfortable. All Lando could do was brush his hand through his teammate's hair. He didn't want to move. He didn't want to wake Oscar up. He looked peaceful, and that's all Lando wanted. He lay down on the sofa, turning the dozing Oscar towards him and hugging him, keeping him close and making sure he was warm and felt secure. Lando closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Lando woke up the next morning; Oscar had cozied up to his warm body. He brushed his hand through Oscar's hair, just how he had done the night prior. He felt Oscar quiver, then stretch.

"Morning, Oz."

"Hey, Lan."

Oscar let out a long yawn. He'd slept well, then. Lando got off the sofa and stretched.

"Bacon sandwich?" Lando asked.

"You know it!" Oscar said through a yawn.

Lando went to the kitchen, Oscar following him. Once they were in the kitchen, Oscar grabbed Lando by the waist and started to sway him. They both giggled and looked at each other. Laughter erupted from the pair. Lando kissed Oscar on the head, before returning to the bacon he was cooking.

"You're so fucking adorable, Bunny."

"So are you, Lan."

Lando dished up Oscar's bacon sandwich and handed it to him.

"Enjoy it, Sweetheart." Lando winked.

"I- Uh- Thanks-" Oscar was flustered.

Oscar ate the sandwich and washed his plate, gazing at Lando as he did so. He felt butterflies flitter around in his stomach again. He really liked Lando. He was perfect for Oscar and he wanted to ask him out. Oscar just wasn't sure if Lando was ready.

Lando hugged Oscar again, lifting him off the ground and spinning around. Oscar held onto Lando tight so he wouldn't fly away. Lando put Oscar down again, still hugging him. They look at each other. Oscar blushed, but looked at his feet to hide it. Lando's phone buzzed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Smooth Operator : Hi, Lan. How're you and Oz?
> Lan xx : We're great!
> Smooth Operator : That's nice.
> Lan xx : Yeah! How're you?
Opened by Smooth Operator. -
> Lan xx : Carlos?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lando put his phone on the kitchen counter and looked at Oscar. There was pain in his gaze.

"What's wrong, Lan?"

Lando hid his face. But Oscar could hear him. He was crying.

"Lando, what happened? You know you can tell me anything."

"Carlos isn't responding to my messages." Lando muttered.

"Lando. You've still got me. Maybe Carlos is just jealous of us."

"Then he's been jealous for months on end, Oz." Lando looked Oscar in the eye. "Why would he do this?"

"I know, Lan." Oscar hugged Lando. He hated it when Lando was upset. It hurt him deep down.

 They took a long, hard look at one another, then Oscar wiped Lando's face. A gesture that assured him that he's not alone with Oscar. They sat down on the sofa and talked. They talked about things with each other that have never touched the outside world. And they don't have to, either.
