Elementary school wasn't very hard for Scaramouche, considering that his mother had him take tutors, learning programs, and online tests to bring out the best in him. It was draining, but who was he to go against the commands of his very own mother?

He was envious whenever he saw Mei sleep peacefully while he had to answer his worksheets every day. Ironically, he wanted to rest, and Mei wanted to study.

With a stretch of his arms, he sighed, answering the final question on his worksheet, trying his best not to cry from the pressure of it all. This was for his future; he knew that. His mother would say that multiple times to remind him why she did this all for him.

He felt proud whenever he was at the top of his class when he was the only one perfect in an exam, the one his classmates wished to be grouped or partnered with... It fed his ego to the point he'd rather neglect his physical and mental health to study even harder for more of this validation.

That was when Raiden Ei, his mother, got worried. She sought her wife's help in this matter.

Scaramouche couldn't hear clearly from outside the room, he pressed his ears into the door to hear more.

"Back... Inazuma..."

"Ei...Makoto..be...Happy"

"Leave Snezhnaya... Scaramouche....in high school."

Though it was muffled and inaudible, he could make out a few words. He widened his eyes in shock as he pieced what he heard together.

Leaving Snezhnaya and going back to Inazuma?!

Scaramouche felt sadness welling up inside of him, not only because Snezhnaya would forever be part of him, but because he would have to leave his favorite target, Ajax.

Part of him wanted to barge in and interrupt their conversation, hopefully convincing them not to go, but the other part of him wanted to visit his aunt in Inazuma--he also had his own friends there that he couldn't just leave forever.

Sighing, he walked away quietly---hoping that his mother would not notice the quiet creaks he made while on the wooden floor.

"That kid was listening, wasn't he?" Miko chuckled, looking over to the door.

Ei sighed, crossing her arms. She already expected his eldest to be unhappy about their plans but for Mei? It was no problem at all, she'd just agree with her mother every time as if she were a robot.

"It seems to be so."

"Is everything alright?" Anna asked the unusually quiet boy. Sure, Scara barely went up to start a chat with people, but he was also the one making the noise. Anna felt something was wrong, judging from how Scara would sleep in class without a single care in the world--which was very unusual considering how good of a model student he is.

Scara looked up to see a worried Anna, he grumbled before resting his head on his arms, "Nothing."

Anna was known to be kind and thoughtful, she had this talent of understanding almost everyone's emotions, and she somehow knew if they were going through a hard time or just faking it. The thing is, she had an intolerable personality from time to time.  He couldn't blame her, she was still a child after all, and Scaramouche would compare her to a clingy leech.

Anna wasn't convinced by the obvious lie, she patted his back and sighed. "I hope nothing bad happens to you when you grow older."

The boy gave no reply, earning a huff from the girl. Anna went back to her desk to finish her crafts; Scara envied her for her talents...she seemed like she could do almost anything.

Without anything productive to do, he decided to stick around with Ajax--despite how much of a stubborn brat he was. Scara was one of the lucky ones who managed to tame the ginger, but there were some times that dog would bite his own leash off, and those times mostly resulted in fights between him and scara.

"Ajax." Scara said to the sleeping ginger under the tree. he walked closer and discovered Ajax sleeping peacefully.

"He seems to be deep asleep..." He thought, he first looked around to see if anyone was watching before sitting down beside Ajax with a small smile. "This is how you want to spend the 30-minute break..?"

Ajax snored like a baby, scara noticed the drool staining his uniform, and he couldn't help but squint his eyes, "Eugh..."

"I envy you," He looked up at the sky, "You're so free and playful... a real kid."

He turned his head to the sleeping one on his right, "I hope that one day, we'll meet again."

Part of the Inazuman wished Ajax were awake, hearing the genuine words Scara gave...but that would be far too embarrassing, he'd rather the boy actually sleeping than hear what scara had just said.

Realizing the inevitable decision his parents made, a tear formed, falling into the hands of Ajax. Scara looked down at it, not bothering to wipe it off, perhaps this tear could help Ajax remember him every single time, oh how he wished that would happen.

He looked around again to see if anyone was watching, and as he confirmed there were no eyes on them, he hesitantly laid his head on Ajax's own. That shortie was a good armrest and a pillow, it made scara laugh whenever someone would do that...he would not do that in public, so the feeling of doing it now felt special, only him and Ajax, and them alone.

he wouldn't admit it, but he wished he and Ajax were best friends, but scara thought his mother would not accept the idea of him being with someone undisciplined like Ajax, so he kept distancing himself from the ginger to avoid being distracted, Ajax was good at distracting after all.

He thought of Ajax and how he would give scara a different yet pleasant type of feeling. Every time Ajax would give him dirty flowers, he would swipe them away as if finding them absurd, but when Ajax and no one else was around, he'd pick them up and put them in a box of collection. The indigo-haired made sure to keep the box clean, he treasured it deeply as if it were a family heirloom.

With a final stare at Ajax's freckles, he drifted off to sleep, hoping that he'd wake up in time to get back to class. He finally got to rest well; he hoped Ajax would not mind.

"Hm...A real kid?"

Ajax opened one eye open to peek and smiled, and once he made sure the indigo-haired boy was sleeping, he smiled before unwrapping his jacket from his waist and putting it on the taller. "It's cold here, you'll get sick..."

Taking this as a chance to squeeze the other's cheeks, he carefully squeezed the soft cheeks and pulled. 'heh heh.'

Grinning with satisfaction, he put one leg over the other and placed his arms behind his head, and gazed at the horizon. "I wasn't planning on sleeping anyway."

Ajax decided that he'd bring the guy to class in 5 minutes, but for now, he'd rather enjoy such a rare moment, unaware that the one he loved the most would leave eventually.
