After that scene, Childe rushed to aid his best buddy, leaving Scaramouche alone with Kazuha.

The two chatted for a while, time passed, and it was nearing night. As the saying goes, time passes when you're having fun--well, Scara and Kazuha's fun was 'friendly gossip'.

The ginger returned with what looked like a bruise that came from a slap, a scratch, another bruise, and messy hair. The man had an annoyed expression on his face, his ever-so-dull eyes glinted with anger and Scara felt a bit uncomfortable with that. With this look, it made him look like some sort of gangster who survived a gruesome battle.

He still looked handsome, Scara thought.

---------------------------

"Hah." Scaramouche snickered, "You got slapped by that rich girl?"

"She's hard to deal with," The ginger complained, "If Capitano had not been holding me back, her face would have been ruined before she would even throw her purse at me."

Scaramouche listened amusedly, tending to the barista's injuries, "Looks like you guys don't like her very much."

"Obviously." Childe groaned in frustration as he threw his head back and rested on the couch.

"Who even is she?" Scaramouche asked, "It's not every day you see someone.. interesting."

"Not even interesting, she's terrible."

"I can see why."

Childe lightly chuckled and watched the other as he uses the first aid kit that Sandrone gave. Childe would be lying if he said that the hits from the girl didn't hurt.
Luckily, his beloved Scaramouche was here to take care of him. Just like how a wife treats her husband-

His thoughts were interrupted when his own phone was shoved in his face by none other than La Signora.

"Your mom is calling." She said.

"Can you hand it over like a normal person?"

She merely scoffed before going on to continue glaring at whoever (Childe)

"I'll be back." Scaramouche nodded, fixing the first aid kid whilst Childe ran to the employees' room to take the call. He left the door open, ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶a̶t̶c̶h̶ ̶s̶c̶a̶r̶a̶-̶

And once he did, he was the first to start the conversation.

"Hey mom, how's it been?"

"Brother!" A young voice called instead of his mother's, "Can I please go with you to the cafe? Pretty pleaseee?"

Childe's eyes softened when he heard the voice of his brother, "Oh? What's with that all of a sudden?"

"Big sis Signora told us you have a lover-"

"He just wanted to!" Tonia interrupted, there was a faint shushing noise at the end.
Childe found it suspicious, but he didn't say anything.

"Haha, sure. I'll get someone to pick you up at 9am. Be sure to be ready by then!"

"Yay! I'm going to drink coffee!" Teucer exclaimed, Childe could practically hear the young one jump in joy.

"Make sure he doesn't drink that, Jax." Tonia laughed.

"Where's mom, by the way?"

"Here! I just wanted to listen to this sweet moment." Childe smiled when he heard his mom's voice, "Make sure to take care of him, ok?"

"yeah sure," Childe leaned against the wall while watching Scaramouche talk to Kazuha
He looked happy, and Childe wished to make Scaramouche that happy too.
