Y/n started going to her classes like usual. But she had significant changes which were noticed by her professors. She never raised her hand in class and only spoke when spoken to. She ignored everyone except for the professors.

All of them got worried especially mcgonnagal as she was the head of your house and knew about your family but didn't know about the deathmark.

In this year, there was a new dada teacher , gilderoy Lockhart. Y/n hated his guts because he was a show off and a fraud and mostly because he tried to talk to her every chance he got.

Now as Dumbledore allowed him to open a dueling club, he asked professor Snape to help him with the display. Professor Snape only agreed as he knew that he would make Lockhart fall on his butt.

In the dada class, Lockhart called his 'assistant' professor Snape. And he had the audacity to say that they'll still have their potions master after he's done with him.

Y/n knew what a dueler Snape was so she knew that Lockhart was done for
Just as she hoped, Lockhart fel at the first spell Snape threw at him. Snape smirked. Then Lockhart tried to cover up his mistake which caused y/n to snicker loudly.

Then Lockhart moved his attention to her and said that  if she finds this funny, she will duel him. Y/n said nothing as she took of her cloak.

She was wearing a black button up shirt with full sleeves and black trousers. She went up to the stage as Snape got off. Then she did something unexpected. She took a dueling position that nobody knew.

Lockhart started the duel by throwing expelliramus at y/n. He aimed for her head she simply moved her head which resulted in the spell missing her by an inch. He threw another spell at her. She dodged again and then when he threw the third spell she just took her wand up and sent the spell back at him but amplifying it by ten times. When the spell hit him, he went flying into the wall behind him.

Everyone was laughing their heads off. When she glanced at Snape, he was smirking and was trying to hold his laughter. She just shrugged and said in her mind , keeping it loud so that only Snape could hear, Heart of a Lion this one.

Snape couldn't hold it anymore and chukled in a very low voice. Nobody except yn heard him. She was happy to put a smile on everyone's face but did not show it. Snape noticed how she had a blank face no matter what.

He suggested that yn duel Malfoy as Lockhart was out of commission. Yn nodded and got ready. Before Snape could say three, he shot a spell at yn. He was about to yell at Malfoy but before he could, yn easily deflected it wordlessly. He was surprised. Malfoy shouted a second spell. Serpensortia! There was a snake slithering towards yn. Before Snape could do anything, yn started speaking in parsletongue but the snake did not obey and was about attack until Yn said, Vipera Evanesca in a low voice.
She left everyone shocked.
