There was two ping pong tables in the corner here, the one on the far end where we were and the other next to it where another group of people were.
Axel and Grayson had set up the cups on either end, ten each in a shape of a triangle— four, three, two and then one at the top.
Lilly had persuaded Grayson for our drinks to be vodka soda and not beer because she hated the taste and he reluctantly agreed, so she started pouring our cups up halfway whilst Grayson filled theirs with beer.
Axel brings his wallet out his back pocket and takes out a coin. "Heads or tails?" He asks Lilly and I.
We both look at each other and I can tell she's not the only one who's head immediately went into the gutter.
"Heads." I say.
"Because we both su-" I punch her arm before she can finish the sentence.
"Heads girls go first, tails we do." Axel says and we nod agreeing.
"Please be tails." Grayson chants under his breath.
Axel throws the coin up in the air and holds his hand out to catch it, when it lands he places his other hand over it so it doesn't bounce off his hand and onto the floor.
"Moment of truth." He says lifting his hands up whilst Grayson does a drumroll with his hands on the table. "Heads!"
Lilly and I jump into each others arms squealing before composing ourselves and putting on our game faces.
Axel hands two balls over to me, his hands lingering a little longer than they should and I pray nobody notices. I thank him and pass a ball over to a very excited Lilly.
"You go first." She says and I nod.
I stand in front of the table and aim my arm in the direction of a cup in the middle of the triangle, the ball leaves my hand and lands directly into the cup. "Fuck yes!" I shout excitedly as Axel takes the ball out the cup and downs the content.
Lilly lines up her ball, shoots and it also lands in a cup. Grayson repeats what Axel did and they throw the balls back over to us giving us another go.
I successfully land mine in but Lilly misses and it's the guys turn to play.
Lilly sulks next to me as Grayson shoots it in a cup and then Axel does the same, we both down the drinks and throw them the balls back.
Then they land both balls in again, Lilly groans downing the drink.
Four cups gone but six still left.
Axel gets the ball in the cup and I grab it throwing the liquid down my throat, Grayson shoots and misses which has Lilly jumping in excitement.
She lines her ball up and takes the shot, it bounces off one cup and lands in another causing her to stick her middle finger up in the guys direction making me laugh.
