I wipe the glitter that's irritating my eyes away as I sit on this stupid white bench at the front of the football field, Nina to my left, Payton then Lilly to my right.
The whole place is buzzing, the stadium is practically full already and Hunter had reserved four seats right by the entrance tunnel. There were benches on the field in front of us which I assumed is where the players sat when not playing.
It was Payton who had blackmailed me to come, she knew so many of my deepest darkest secrets and she had no issue with bringing any of them up just to get me to go to a lousy football game.
I hated her.
She told me she'd tell dad that it was actually me who totalled his car in senior year and someone didn't actually crash into it whilst it was parked in our driveway.
In my defence, I didn't realise exactly how close the wall actually was to the car and bam next thing you know the front is steaming with smoke and the whole right hand side was totally fucked.
It was his favourite car too, a black 1967 Camaro— his pride and joy that was once his fathers then handed down to him and I might have borrowed it one evening whilst him and Celine were out at a business dinner and then acted like I had no idea what happened when he got home.
It still sat in our garage and dad tries to fix it when he's got a spare minute. It's been two years since that awful night and he's almost finished fixing it.
I made a promise to myself that I'd never allow myself to look at it ever again let alone touch it.
So of course as soon as that came out of Paytons mouth I immediately got ready and didn't complain once about anything because I was petrified if dad found out, he'd disown me.
"Can I buy alcohol here?" I turn to ask Nina.
"Duh!" She responds.
I practically squealed with happiness, if I'm being blackmailed to be here then I at least wanted alcohol in my system because no way could I do this sober.
Plus let's just say I'm pre drinking ready for the party the guys are throwing tonight.
"Cool." I nod. "Do you girls want any drinks?"
"Mmm red wine." Payton responds.
"Me too!" Lilly says.
"I'll have a beer." Nina speaks.
I nod my head and scoot past Nina who thankfully is sat at the edge so I don't have to barge past anyone else and make my way into a small tunnels and towards the nearest bar.
After telling the girl behind the counter what the others wanted, I ordered four shots and took them at the bar then ordered a vodka soda— double, I was going to need it.
When she returned with the rest of the drinks I balanced them in both hands and made my way back to the girls, i must've been gone for some time because when I returned the players were already in the field and warming up.
