Four years later...
"I swear the fucking god Ava, if you don't hurry the fuck up I'm going to throw a hissy fit!" Nina shouts at me from my bedroom door.
"Oh hush." I wave her off as I stare at myself in the mirror adjusting the white dress Axel brought me the other month, saying it looked identical to the one I wore the night we first met.
Slightly longer though, not that I was complaining.
"You look fine and you looked fine an hour ago when you first stepped in front of the mirror." She whines.
"You're so dramatic." I laugh as I walk over to my drawers grabbing my necklace before walking back over to the mirror and putting it on. "Those pregnancy hormones are really radiating from you today, I feel sorry for Hunter."
"Oh shut up, you try being eight months pregnant in this heat." She sighs.
I hear the patter of dog feet against the hardwood floor and immediately crouch down when Star and Scoobydoo come running into the room.
"Hi boys." I coo stroking them both behind the ears.
Yes, I got a Labrador. Axel surprised me with him on our second anniversary, chocolate brown too, the exact dog I've wanted since I was five and I had to name him star because five year old me would be saying every nasty word under her breath had I not.
I extend to my natural height and grab my clutch from behind the door before making my way past Nina and down the stairs, Star and Scoobydoo running ahead of me.
"God, what took you so long." Nova moans as I step down the final step.
"Why is everyone fucking rushing me?" I complain as I walk into the kitchen. "I get Nina because she's pregnant, but what's your excuse?"
"Where are you going now?" Nova asks running after me with Nina on her tail.
"To get some water, am I allowed to do that?" I ask with a raised brow.
Axel and I now live in New York City, his sister Nova goes to college here and has been staying with us for the last four months as her apartment building burnt down and she couldn't be bothered looking for a new one, so Axel suggested she moved in.
Of course she had to bring her little rat dog Scoobydoo, who the fuck calls a Chihuahua Scoobydoo? Nova that's who. The girls crazy, the dog was only meant to be hers for a couple of weeks but she had turned around to her parents and told them she's keeping him and there's nothing they can do about it.
Janine and Robert— Axels and Nova's parents weren't at all surprised, they knew from the minute she brought the dog home that it would not be leaving their house and they were fine with that even though that acted like they wasn't to begin with.
