Giovanni's POV

Gulping down the entire glass of alcohol in my hand, I think of my family. They are my pride and my everything. I can do anything for my family, go to any lengths to keep them safe and happy.

Yet I couldn't keep this promise of safety. Looking down at the picture of my youngest children, I sigh.

In the picture I can see my children cuddling up to each other when they were babies. My oldest, Angelo, was twelve, Dante was eleven, Marco was eight, Carlos was five, and Enzo was four. And my principessa was just three.

My boys and my only principessa.

Veronica Sanches.

Everyday I wish for my principessa to come back to me, but alas it has been 15 years now just dreaming for it to happen but it hasn't happened.

I can still remember the day she was born as if it was yesterday. When Valentina went into labour, we were already informed of having a girl. But after Enzo was born, she started feeling contractions again and then we got to know that we were actually going to have a beautiful, healthy, baby girl.

My happiness knew no bounds when my daughter was born. Yes, she was a surprise, but the best surprise I ever got. Everyone in our family was really happy as a girl was finally born in a family with only boys after generations. This was the last ever photo that was taken with all of my children.

Our principessa was kidnapped after mere hours of this photo being taken. Even after all those extensive security measures I took, My wife, My lover, Valentina managed to take her from right under all of our noses. I had no idea on how to inform my children and the rest of my family that their cherished sister was taken from them, by their own mother.

I mean imagine me saying that.

Even after looking for her, we came up with nothing.

Valentina is dead to me, I have no idea where she is. Although I could care less of where she is, I care about my daughter.

The boys and I have been searching for Veronica for years, The Italian Mafia needs her principessa back.

I need her back.

To this date, my sons have a burning passion of hatred for Valentina for taking their sorellina away from them.

I miss you principessa. Come back to us

Dismissing all of these thoughts, I make my way downstairs for breakfast. We always have breakfast and dinner as a family as during lunch we are all at different places.

While drinking my coffee, I notice that my youngest son- Enzo is not yet at the table.

"Where is Enzo?" I question.

"He is still getting ready even after I woke him up 40 minutes ago." Dante rolled his eyes.

"I am here, I am here." Enzo came shouting.
"And may I ask why you are late even after waking up early?" I asked, while glaring at him.
