Third Person POV

Life is unfair and uncertain.

Nobody knows which path they had to walk on, that would make sense to them. Life throws us in a battlefield completely unprepared for what's about to come and it purposely makes us lose most of those battles.

And all those times we wonder why 'us'?

Why does it had to be us to go through these scale of unprecedented battles—

Some lose hope and some don't.

The ones who keep fighting wins but that doesn't mean the hardships are over. And even after their victory from one, the next battle would be ready to strike when they'd least expected it.

The truth is that, no one would ever know what's in store for them, the hardships that we face have a very peculiar way to heal the scars that we received from them.

But life never lets everything stay the same.

Broken hearts would eventually relearn to love again, the void and emptiness in the hearts would soon be subdued, the loneliness would be replaced some day, and for every tearful sad day and painful dark night, another morning would come bringing a new source of light which would give yet another chance to smile.

Veronica's POV

My daze of thoughts was broken when I heard a smack echoing throughout my mansion, I looked up to see Noah smirking at Marcus, while Marcus was glaring at him.

"Who'd you think you hit you fucker—" Marcus gritted out as he was ready to swing at this asshat but was stopped from the hand that blocked his movement.

"Enough you two.. I haven't had my coffee this morning so I don't have the patience to deal with your nonsense today." I muttered the last part under my breath as my glare now fixated on them.

"Don't you look at me like that" I reprimanded, glaring back at me, Marcus swiftly looked away not wanting to challenge me when I was low on my coffee intake.

"Fine—" Marcus gritted out, obviously still annoyed from Noah's smack, who tried to muffle his laugh while Marcus was being lectured.

Pompous little shit—

"And you, for fucks sake listen to your brother." I said, narrowing my eyes at Noah who stupidly raised his hands up in surrender.

"Yeah listen to me like the little bitch, that you are." Marcus said grinning at his dear brother who's face quickly turned into a scowl.

But before they could say anything, both of them let out a yelp of pain as I pulled the pair by their ear as I dragged them outside my office.

"I cant be fucked to be listening to the pair of you dickheads bikering like a elderly couple." I sighed slamming my office door in their face.
