Mila sat in the kitchen as she sat painting her nails. She knew that she couldn't sleep

Madi enters the dining room to find Alex and Izzie. Alex is carving a pumpkin and Izzie is baking as well as mila sat there

"What are you guys doing up?" Madi asked

"Couldn't sleep." Izzie and Alex said

"Yeah same I got stiff in my mind" Mila said. She knew her head was a mess over her and mark. She knew that they were starting their relationship and how they were trying to keep it secret and it wasn't easy

Madi dumps her mom's ashes into a Ziploc bag. Mila looked up at her and raised an eyebrow at her

"What is that?" Izzie asked

"My mother." Madi said

" Happy freaking' Halloween." Alex said

"Because that's normal" mila said

"What are we looking at?" Cristina asked as she walked into the locker room and saw everyone looking at madi.

Izzie turned to her. "Madison put her mommy in a baggie and bought her to work," she told her.

"I had to get her out the closet. She was haunting me."

Mila nodded. "That makes sense...And now the amazing Ellis Grey is haunting all of us," she joked as she looked to her.

Madi rolled her eyes but smiled. She knew how happy madi was and she knew how she and mark were trying to make it work

"How's it going with mark?" Madi asked as mila smiled

"It's all good. It's early but it's good" mila said

Madi knew how happy that she was for mila as long as mark didn't hurt her again

Sydney Heron walked into the locker room. "Madi and Meredith are cleansing. In tribal culture, when one wants to cleanse the past, one cuts off all of one's hair and buries it in the earth. You might try that too," she said.

Mila shook her head. "She gives me the creeps," she mumbled to Alex. She turned to madi . "Please don't cut off your hair. I won't recognise you," she told her.

"I'm not going to cut my hair off... it's rather attached to me," madi said.

"I get that."

Callie walked into the room. She looked around. "Okay. Listen up," she said as she got the attention of the residents. "Today is a holiday. Which means the pit will be overrun. You've got the usual drunken stupidity-."

"And then you've got Seattle's annual chain saw pumpkin carving contest," Bailey said rather excited. "I love this city."

Callie shook her head. "Anyways, stay on your toes. Stay on top of your interns, okay?" She said.

Izzie raised her hand. "So should we round before heading to the pit or-."

"Yeah. You should direct your questions to Dr Bailey, Stevens," Callie told her.
