Matt walked into Burger King with his brothers, smiling once he saw Jess, sitting in a booth. "Get my order and I'll go sit down somewhere" he said before walking away from his brothers who were in line.

He sat down right in the booth Jess was sitting in, alone. Jess immediately rolled her eyes when she realized who the weirdo was sitting down at her table. "Are you stalking me?"

"No. I just wanted to say hi. Is that a problem?" Matt asks leaning into the table.

"No" Jess scoffs "what do you want?" She asked dryly.

"Well, since we got interrupted Friday night by Mr.NOT your boyfriend," Matt smirks "I thought we would make up for lost time"

Jess looks at him unamused. "Are you asking me out?" She asks bluntly. Matt is surprised by this, and how direct this girl was.

"I mean maybe I a-"

"It's a yes or no" Jess cuts him off.

"Yes, I am asking you out" Matt answered clearly. Jess expected him to react harshly. Say she was rude, or just take back his question. She wasn't prepared to know the answer to this question.

"Where would you take me?" She asks, mostly to buy herself time to decide.

"Well I don't know. The only thing I know about you is that your stubborn and harsh. And you like someone named Gracie Abrams" Matt lists off effortlessly.

"How do you know I like her?" Jess asks suspiciously. Her music taste was not something she consulted in him for.

"Had her on your shirt. At the party" Matt reminds her. Jess scrunched her eyebrows. How did he remember her shirt? "It's not hard to remember a T-shirt if it's on a pretty girl" Matt adds once he sees her confusion. This snaps Jess into reality and she looks away with a purposefully judge full look. Matt smiles in satisfaction at his ability to make her so irritated so quickly.

Just as Matt was about to speak again, he sees Chris and Nick walking his way. "We ordered your shit but you have to get up to get it when they call it" Chris says, him and Nick not close enough to the booth to see that someone else was sitting there.  Matt looks between them and Jess, wondering how he was going to explain him sitting down alone with her.

Finally, they do get close enough and get a view of Jess, who is for some reason scowling at Matt. "Oh, who's this?" Nick asks, which makes Jess turn her head around to face them. They both immediately recognized her from when they went on her Instagram.

"This is Jess" Matt gestured to her. She took a sharp glance to Matt before facing his brothers again.

"I've heard all about you" Nick says with sly grin, which earns a warning look from Matt. Jess glances back to Matt, and he gives a full teeth smile. "And my names Nick" he adds when he realized he didn't even introduce himself. Nick looks to Chris expectingly, but Chris just stares clueless. Then he finally snaps into real life.

"Chris. I'm Chris" he also gives a welcoming smile. Jess simply nods, before turning back to face Matt.

"I guess you gotta go now. Real shame" she says sarcastically. Nick holds in a grin, seeing how clearly this girl doesn't like Matt.

Matt takes a look at his brothers before saying "actually, they can sit here with us. If you don't mind having company" Matt says this almost as a challenge, and Jess can sense it. "It's sucks that we keep getting interrupted" Matt didn't even care now that his brothers were witnessing this. Then he continued "here I'll sit on your side" Matt got up and sat down next to Jess. Nick sat down opposite to them, and Chris next to Nick.

"So Jess, why are you slugging around with this loser?" Chris asks, gesturing to Matt. Matt gave an annoyed look.

"I'm not. He's just stalking me" Jess doesn't even glance at Matt when saying this. Nick nodded in an understanding way and Chris gave a yikes look to Matt.

Matt was about dish out another reply, but they called their name for the food, so he got up to go get it. "So is Matt annoying you? Because we can leave" Nick leaned in to say. Jess laughed. She already liked his brother more than him.

"No. I can deal with him. I mean, he's annoying, but he lets me be mean to him. Like I can be so rude and he just stays around. I literally don't know why" Jess explains. Chris fake laughs, because he and Nick knew exactly why.

"You know, he really is a good guy" Chris decides to help Matt, even though he hates the whole idea. Nick was going to hit Chris. He should not be encouraging Jess to like Matt one bit.

"That's a lie. He's a horrible guy. Very rude. You just have to wait for his true colors" Nick protests, because no way he would let his brother make this poor girl a bet. Jess nodded, jokingly agreeing. Just then, Matt came back with their food, passing it out to his two brothers.

Matt looked to Jess, seeing no food in front of her. "Why come to Burger King if your not gonna get anything?" He gestured to the empty space on the table in front of her. She shrugged. Matt was confused. She was sat alone at this place, and didn't even get any food.

"You know, I actually have to go now. See you around" she smiled making Matt stand up so she could get out of the seat. She looked at Matt only this time saying "maybe". He watched as she walked out the door, before sitting back down.

"You know your a real ass-hat, right?" Nic asked the minute Matt sat down. He rolled his eyes which made Nic keep talking "making that super nice girl a bet? Are you serious. For a fucking captain spot?" Nic asked. Matt looked to Chris for support, but Chris was too scared to go against Nic, because he was always passionate when talking about his opinion.

"Who cares? She is literally the little sister of Logan Alden, and on their team too. This isn't only a free captain spot for me, but an advantage to our team. When I eventually break up with her before the thanksgiving game, she will be so sad she will play horrible, and her brother will be so pissed he will get fouled out" Matt explained all at once. Nic couldn't believe how sick his brother sounded right now. Chris however listened the mentions of both of the Alden siblings play plummeting.

"Would you even want to break up with her though? Shes super hot" Chris commented. Matt looked at him with a warning. "What? She is! It's not like your even close to being a thing with her!" Chris defended. For some reason, Matt was actually getting pissed at Chris for this comment. Chris could tell that Matt was actually mad, and it amused him, because Matt had persisted it was just a bet, and he wasn't even interested in her.

"Fine. Go ahead and break up with her, I'll be waiting with open arms and soft shoulder to cry into" Chris laughed, because if Matt was going to be that stupid to break up with Jess, he would easily take her. Nic grinned, holding in a small laugh.

"Shut up kid" Matt shook his head in disapproval "she wouldn't go for you anyway" he spit out quite salty. Nic was amused by Matt's attitude.
