𝐈 watch as she practically yells in the phone asking if the person is okay. I can hear the voice on the other end of the phone lowly but I can say it's really calm. So o don't think much of anything happened.
She places her phone back in her jeans pocket and starts looking for something in her purse. For a second I think she forgot I was here but then she looks up at me with a regretful look.
"I'm so sorry I have to cut this short but my husband just got into an accident" she says and even though she speaks calmly, I can sense the panic behind her voice.
"I'll drop you" the words leave my mouth before I could registered. I would have practically passed out if I found out something like an accident happened to someone but then again this person is in the mafia. Heck! If I could survive a surgery when I was only 5 years old then that man could probably survive an accident.
Or I think I'm broken since I'm taking an accident really lightly.
A small smile breaks on her face and her eyes lights up, "Are you sure?"
"Yes! You seem really panicked, it's better if I drive" I insure her and the back of my mind is telling me that I'm helping her just so I could get close to her family and this accident could be a source.

I start walking ahead of her back to our cars and instead of hers we go on to mine, so I can drive back home too. "What about your car?" I ask her even though I know the answer. One of her men can easily get it for her. She has nothing to worry about when you've only been bathed in Money.
"One of my boys will get it"

I just nod and get in the car and she does to. I start driving and the ride, she's just looking outside.
My eyes land on to her hands which are shaking so without a second thought, I hold onto her hand surprising both ourselves. She sends me a grateful smile and interwines our hands strongly while I return it with a right lipped smile.
We reach her mansion and the guards don't look at me weirdly this time. They let me in easily like they would to any other guys. I park my car infront of the front door and she immediately rushes out of the car. Before running back inside her house, she comes over to my side and since the glass window is down she holds onto my hand and thanks me a lot of times and finally goes back inside.
I start driving away and she must have heard since she waves at me from the front door steps and gets in.
I don't know what came into my mind but my foot stepped on the brakes immediately stopping the car the moment she is inside her house. A part of my mind tell me to go check on him but the other says that that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to get their builder in my control, not to make any friendship if that's what you could call it.
One of the part of my brain wins and you could say which one since I get out of the car and walk up to the front door, the guards look at me and start opening the door completely before I stop them. They look at me weirdly when I don't get in the House but instead peak in with the small gap between the door and the all since its unlocked.
Not going to lie, their Mansion is much larger than ours but then again Valentina and Allessandro have like plenty of kids, so this much space is nothing for them.
The foyer is like a hallway and then straight ahead is the living room which I can see clearly. The guards are looking at me more weirdly like I'm crazy but I just don't care. I see as Allessandro is talking to Leonardo, his second and doctor son. Allessandro only have a sling on his right arm and a little small bandage on his head.
I see as Valentina finally walks up to them and she looke really angry but before she can utter a word, Allessandro pulls her onto her lap and hugs her body close to his. It's like he knew she was going to be worried about him so he's telling her in that way that he is alright.
I divert my eyes to the other people in the room and almost all their kids are present there but I feel like someone is missing and at that exact moment, I hear a throat clear behind me.
My eyes widen and I slowly turn around to see a boy in somewhat my age look at me through his glasses. He has a bag in his hands, with full of books, so much I can see it. And in his other hand he's holding a cute black cat.

He's wearing some brown sweatpants and sweatshirts and his hair is brown too. He looks like a nerd but then again nerds are really cool and mysterious.
His brows furrow as he looks at me and he is actually looking at me like he is unsure of what he is looking at me.
"You look like—nevermind, who are you?"
I am confused at what he was going to say but then again he could be mistaken because then again there is no one who looks like me, I think?
"I'm Athena Growns. I don't know if you know me or not"
His face chnages into an 'Oh' reaction and he says, "Oh yes, the one who brought Roman home after somebody hit him with their car"
You mean me?
"Yeah somebody did"
"I'm Arturo by the way. Anyways, What are you doing out here? Come inside" he ushers me to get in.
Arturo Grasso, I haven't seen him much in the Grasso's pictures I found online since he barely attends any of their meetings or their galas or balls. He is a very introverted person and prefers to stay in the corner with his book and his kitten.
"No no! Your father got into an accident. This should be your personal family time. I don't want to intrude. I just wanted to see if he was okay and since he is I'll just leave, thank you though"
He nods "Alright"
And please don't tell Your mom, it's Just she thought I left so it'll be embarassing. And tell your guards also not to tell anyone"
He chuckles at me, "Alright alright, I won't say anything to anyone and nor will they. Okay?"
This time I beam at him and with one final wave, I get in my car and drive away.
In the middle of the drives, I notice the water bottle Valentina gave to me and since my doctors told me that water is the the thing that is currently keeping me stable, without anymore thoughts, I drink it.
