—CHAPTER TWO—
Except that things went haywire after that; there's a lot of things to worry about. But no one notice it, not even herself.
Almost less than a month later after her conversation with Brylle, Akira found herself biting her lips hard while checking everything in her backpack.
“Alcohol, facemask, vaccine card, government ID, some snacks, water bottle, notepad, phone, power bank, wallet, emergency kit, extra clothes and pants hmm what more?” she stares into nothingness for a bit before roaming her eyes around the four walls of the small room.
Her eyes widen.
“Right, Press pass and album! How can I forget that?!” she immediately went to her small fangirling shelf and pick the latest album release of her fave.
She spend half an hour contemplating for the contents of her backpack before nodding into satisfaction.

“Are you going to a camping?” Brylle gapes at her. No, scratch that. His bestfriend is actually staring at her huge backpack attached on her back.
“It looks like it's about to explode! Why did you bring so many things?!”
“It's not that many!”she whines.
“What do you mean it's not, it looks bigger than your small frame Kiki!”
Akira can't help it but held her nape out of embarrassment, her friend is acting like a parent again. She wince at her childhood nickname.
“Stop calling me that!” she whispered yell to his friend, crimson slightly tainting her chubby cheeks. She stared at the commercial building's empty lobby and sigh in relief.
“Why did you bring so many? It's only a short press conference Kiki. We're not here to camp or go hiking.” Brylle asked confusedly.
“I told you, I'm going to visit my hometown this week.” she huff in slight annoyance.
“Yeah, I know that. But you said you'll be going around sundown, and it's still so early right now.” Brylle check his wristwatch and gasp, “It's only quarter to 10 in the morning Kiki!”
There's the nickname again. She sighed for the fifth time that day.
“You can still go back at your dorm to prepare, bringing that here will only give you a hard time. The conference will only last for an hour and half, maybe around 2pm it'll be finish since Johansson Alejandro is having a different schedule.” her friend added in a soft tone, brows furrowed and eyes filled with worry.
That's the point. She cannot go back to the dorm after the press conference because she will be attending Johansson Alejandro's next schedule, the fansigning event or else she will miss the last bus.
“I get it now. You're attending that fansigning event, right?”
Voiceless, she nodded. Her bestfriend can really read her like an open book.
“You could've just told me earlier and I will bring my car, that bag is so heavy. Why didn't you ask for my help?”
She don't really know what to answer when Brylle babied her too much.
“I don't want to be a bother.”
“You're never a bother to me, always remember that. Now, just call me if you need a helping hand alright?”
“Alright.” she managed to say watching her friend's retreating back.
***
Akira held into her camera tightly, Brylle is somewhere around the building, probably interviewing different people especially artists who attended the press conference. After how many trials and persuasion, their school paper team, luckily got the spot and a pass to attend such a huge event. The event solely focus on donations from different wealthy and well-known people that aims to help the production of more vaccines.
When the event officially starts, she and Brylle sat at the press' designated seats and observe listening do different people's litany. Her friend is busy jotting down notes while she is busy capturing different shots of the man who is currently speaking in front of the crowd, she even heard the slight chant and squeals around the crowd, she couldn't help but to smile proudly. The idol was all smiley even after he ended his speech that lasted for 20 minutes. When the man left the stage, he immediately went to the guest's exit.
Akira longingly stares at the closed door and open her camera again to life. She can't help the huge smile on her lips staring at the total of 30 photos of the same man with different angles. Johansson Alejandro looks spectacular in every shot, the man doesn't even have a bad capture at all, it's almost insane how gorgeous the tan man is. She sighed dreamily.
When she went to the fansign venue, the line is already long. With a huge backpack on her back, she hugged the [PHANTOM] album of Johansson Alejandro's, the 3rd one from his collection. She let out a tense breath when the line gets shorter as time goes by, she can now freely take a look of her favourite artist in the industry, smiling charmingly while talking and interacting with fans.
When there's only less than 10 people in front, her phone rang.
Brylle calling...
Confused, she answered it.
“Have you heard the news?”
“What news? I haven't—”
“Get away from crowd Kioff!”
There's a series of sound siren and people shouting on the next line and Brylle explaining something but she cannot properly hear it aside from Brylle's panicking voice and loud sound of crashing before the call went off.
“Hello Brylle? What's happening? Are you okay? Hello?!”
“Hi?”
She flinches when she heard a very familiar soothing and honey like voice.
“O-oh! Hi!!” she stammers when Johansson smiled at her.
She didn't notice she was already next in line.
“What's your name?”
“Akira Davila.” she said shyly and hands the latest album of her most beloved idol.
“You seemed trouble earlier, are you okay?” her idol asked, looking worried.
“Ah, t-that of course yes! I mean, I-I'm good I guess?”
She bite his lips hard when the man chuckles, great, embarrassing himself in front of Alejandro.
“There, take care Akira!” the charming idol handed her back the signed album with a short message.
“Thank you.”
Then the line move again to the next fan. Signalling Akira to move and stand near the entrance to stare at her signed album.
[Dear Aki,
Thank you, I'm glad that I met someone as precious as you today. Always take care, much love! Hoping to see you again! XOXO!]She felt his heart throbs in her chest.
Not because of the heart fluttering message, but due to the screams and bloody sight that greets her.
